Serendipity - i forgot to congratulate you on THREE eight minutes in the kitchen - well done! Starflower, i am so sorry about all the pain you are experiencing and i am so in awe of all that you got done. Huge - and glad for your company. wishing you healing and sending soothing vibes your way. thanks, kirakira! WTG on your own 8 minutes dealing with litterbox and trash! i am so squirrely with anxiety and feelings of overwhelm that this is the perfect thread for me - so thank you dayeanu for the small bytes challenges of 8 minutes. i now have this thread bookmarked; i can see it is perfect for small bits of time i might normally waste because there's "not enough time" - in my busy schedule of mostly procrastinating and dreading - i will re-focus on the kitchen for this 8 minutes, since my toaster seems to be on the outs and is burning all my toast now. time to get a new one i guess. or give up toast. but first, that sandwich i made with the burned (scraped) toast.

I'm glad you found this thread creativechaos, it really is perfect for when you are overwhelmed and feeling anxious We just got home from a long weekend and I need to attack the mountain of dirty washing. I am going to do 8 minutes and if I survive, I will do 8 minutes in the kitchen too - just to teach it a lesson.

I would love to comment on everything everyone is posting. But I am allowing myself 4 minutes on the board atm. I went to town on business all morning. 2 hour nap this afternoon. I have the energy level of a mashed potato, but I'm setting the timer for 8 minutes, and me and that stuff are going to be DOING the mashed potato! Anybody remember that dance? ! Anyway, my minutes are up! ONWARD!

Okay, I want to know what the hard stuff was--did you get rid of something? Diane The hard stuff was really nasty stuff, and stuff I'm not sure what to do with, that is blocking the path through the sun room into the kitchen (wwhich would be where the dishwasher (and plumber) would need to enter. Mostly it's nasty because it's been sitting on a partially enclosed porch for months. And mice have been in. The room, because it's a semi sort of outdoor room, was the dumping place for things like saws and tools and things you would not bring in the house. Also the spot to toss nasty stuff to.to get it out of the house quickly. Lota of bags of trash get tossed there. And spilled. Or gnawed through. I did 8 minutes last night, and 2 X 8 so far this morning. Lota of

Gentle hugs for Starflower ! Man, sweetie, you've been through the wringer both coming & going! Ankle/shoulder/mastectomy. Poor, sweet baboo! (That's a USA cartoon reference - Peanuts. Proper response: ACK! I'm NOT your sweet baboo! ... teeheehee)
