Today is the 11th day of the month. So lets go pick up 11 somethings... Pick up 11 pieces of rubbish? Throw out 11 old clothes that you don't need? Take 11 minutes to wash the dishes? Wash 11 clothes? Throw 11 old things out of the fridge? Have a lovely shower for 11 minutes? Select something that you want to do 11 of today, and just for for it!

OK, I'll bite.... I went out the hardware store with my brother, a very good place. I had the car, so had NO EXCUSE, plus he would help me. I resolved to buy 11 (eleven) things, regardless of how hot I got being in a store. Yes, I sweat a lot, sweat running down inside my clothes, but I was determined NOT to run out until I had gone up and down every aisle. Here is what I got (and why) 1) bbq size foil: to replace ruined box from home reno chaos 2) another pair of rubber gloves (I keep one on each floor of the house) 3) freezer paper: I use this to line the cupboard under the sinks: I want to do this under the new laundry sink. I had to toss the old box: reno chaos: plaster dust 4)GooGone: the old bottle is 'almost gone' 5) Paper Towel holder: for new laundry room counter: great product 6) silver polish: everything looks pretty grim. I noticed this when dusting inside the buffet (with DH): we have not opened some of these cupboards since LAST NOVEMBER during the kitchen renos 7) flex ice packs: I tossed the leaky old ones during the kitchen reno and forgot to buy new ones. When I had to ice my shoulder last week, I was stymied 8) hannukah beads (blue, white, silver) for decoration: our Jewish neighbours will help us put up our Xmas tree: cheap treat 9) Veleda mop head refill: doesn't fit my old mop, will have to return or something: oh drat 10) hand cream with free file: for gym locker and my big TA DA: 11) a new small runner for in front of the washer dryer combo in the new laundry room. The old runner was a hand-me-down from my mom's country place: she sold the farm 20+ years ago, and I'm sure this runner had been used at our family home before that. I think Mr. Hunk and crew tossed it during some phase of the laundry reno. DH was thrilled when he saw this clever purchase. Hurrah for ME for taking on this challenge!

- I just removed at least 11 disgustingly slimy dishes from the sink and gave them a quick washing. They were too icky for me to stop and count how many -- I just had to do it very fast without thinking -- but there were at least 11.
I will take the 11-minute shower you suggested now.
