SUNPORCHGet rid of two bins I have by the windows. Get something that looks a little nicer than the bin in front of the loveseat. LIVING ROOMMain desk has two paper holders on it that look a little messy DONEI have a pile of books on one bookshelf that are going to the little libraries, it's gotten too tall and looks silly DONEThere are two bags of CDs, one behind the desk, one in plain view under a small stand, that are extras that I can't decide what to do with MOVED (Not ideal, but at least they're not visible in the LR anymore) My bird supply basket is overflowing DONEGet rid of book bin by the fireplace. Replace the two boxes that form part of the steps up the little table next to my computer My computer desk has a holder on the side for paperwork that is in progress. It usually has too much stuff in it and looks messy and overflows ENTRYWAY Look through and get rid of 2 shopping bags on the closet door DONEOne bookshelf has books put in every which way and looks messy DONEPurge/organize glove basket on table DONEHALLWAYCompletely redo "books to be read next" table. DONEOne of the book cases has books going every which way and needs to be straightened up DONEDINING ROOM
Move dollhouse? Partially purge two book baskets which hold books I'm keeping and waiting to put away in the correct place. DONE They are purged enough so that things are not falling out of them, they look normal now Figure out what to do with junk in corner: 2 large framed prints, and behind them, a pumpkin decoration, a shopping bag full of...I think, shopping bags? a large pot that I'm not sure I'm going to keep, and my exercise mat BETTER The pumpkin decoration and one framed print are still in that corner--they actually look okay, they hide the lower part of a little table that has stuff under it. I put the rest of the stuff away, and it looks way better there now Some of my book storage boxes are leaning to the side and look really bad BETTER While putting the basket books away, I made sure the boxes were as straight as possible when I put them back. They're not perfect, but to make them perfect I'd have to replace the boxes that are at the bottom and that would be way too much effort for not enough improvement. Take trunk down to storage unit DONE--out to alleyKITCHENReplace storage milk crate with something that looks better DONETotal purge, cleaning and reorganizing of under sink area, including finding storage containers that fit there DONEBATHROOMReplace shower caddy thing hanging over the sink Replace CD player? Or remove rust? PANTRYFigure out something better for the food shelves than what I have now There are only two more things on here that I can do before the end of the month, get rid of the dollhouse and straighten up the paper holder on my computer desk. The other items all require buying new things, which I just can't do now--except for the book bin by the fireplace, that wouldn't require buying anything but it would require getting rid of those books and that's not going to happen now either. You have been very busy, Diane. You have done a lot of things during this challenge.
I have not been succesfull in my goal to loose weight but at least I did not put any on. I have eaten too much ice cream during our hot summer.
I have done some home improvement things I have not planned, but they are great - first of all the hump at the front door, that I destroyed at the beggining of this chalenge and now we can open the door easily. Then I painted the top of the shoe cupboard and the bars at the garden door this week.
I have plans for the Autumn challenge - repair the frame side of the garden door lock. I have already started to work on it and ordered the needed metal thing.

Lucie, considering that losing weight is just about the hardest challenge there is, I think it's great that you haven't gained anything. I need to lose some weight too but will definitely not put it on a challenge--when I can't exercise, I just can't lose, period!
Serendipity, you're right, there's a day left! I'm going to try to finish up the computer desk decluttering tomorrow.
Oh, by the way, the dollhouse is out in the alley. It only took me 2 months (plus the few years I've had it before that) to realize it just wasn't worth keeping.
