Morning All Today is my day off and I am realising that I should have had a plan made last night because now I am just mucking around. I hurt my knee yesterday trying to shift a heavy container so I don't know how much I'l be able to do today. And it has been raining... Obviously then I should be working inside and maybe doing some of the things I have been putting off - but I don't wanna! There's a List: walk dog breakfast shower fold washing make phone calls - 2 out of 3 successful find out about compost That'll do to start with... Ok - now it is lunchtime and I am sitting around doing nothing again! I should be gathering up some bags and going round to the compost place and getting that job done. I annoy myself because I have all these big ideas about what I would like to do and then I spend all my time and energy on finding excuses for not doing them - then I get depressed because nothing ever work out. It's just NUTS. Right now my kitchen is a mess but i don't want to do anything in there because it is too cold.(yesterday it was too hot) and G has bottle of home brew all over the floor which I have asked him to move and he hasn't - again. He has so much stuff - it's every where - I was out in the shed trying to find my garden fertiliser and things kept falling on me. He just has stuff piled on top of other stuff, not stacked neatly or anything. It is depressing, it makes simple jobs really hard. (I found the fertiliser - which I had asked him to look for and he hadn't been able to find, if he ever looked.) Another list: lunch find bags get compost - 1/2 cubic metre - 13 bags, 2 trips in the car - now I am having a rest do other stuff on other list Sorry for the big moan Have a good day

figured i'd say howdy to ya and put up my list now rather than tomorrow morning, going to try and get back to an early am schedule w/ mancreature again... so hopefully a 3:30 am wakeup time, can't believe i'm "hoping" for that. uhg ohmy, love and the many insanities it can drive a woman todidn't manage to wake up til 7... oops.

i want to work on the kitchen tomorrow mainly, been trying to set a room a day to rights and the kitchen is it tomorrow... pretty sure i can find some things in there to get rid of. and i'm also pretty sure i'll need to add a few things to the shopping list. and want to talk to mancreature about starting a freezer inventory because it seems to him that the freezer is an abyss that only i can concur so he sweetly asks, "sweetheart, do we have any xyz in the freezer?" and it's my job to have mentally and physically tamed the freezer into submission and force it to give up its secrets so that i might relay them to mancreature. i'd like to change this pattern. the fridge. i don't know WHAT'S going on in there. it's been taken over by gallon sized containers of like 6 different beverages but we have no room for food. and i'm pretty sure there's some sourcream that could be used for biowarefare, so i'd like to address these issues.

Hi, Razy & Djollydjolan. I hope your knee is feeling better, Razy. I don't know how you could work with the compost with the pained knee, though. I'd be limping around, I am sure. Icing it and acing it. Djolly, did you get your 3:30 wake-up call as you hoped? I didn't wake up until 6:11 a.m. but I'm okay with that. I got to see the lovely pinkness in the sky this morning. Not something I generally notice in the mornings, even though I generally get up before dawn. I don't think its normally pinkish in the mornings, but this morning it was. And it was pretty. eagle's Thursday morning wake-up routine watched the sky and the birds from my kitchen window did some cooking & some dishes ate breakfast listen to the birds attended to email inbox tidied living room & a section of a kitchen counter 15 minutes in home office cleaned a floor; vacuumed laundry room carpet (someday this will be a tile floor, but it is still carpet) took out the recycling; emptied bathroom trash (to outside bin) laundry: one load in washer laundry: put darks into dyer donate something
Plant relocation project:
- cleaned exterior of 3 pots
- sat two to dry in back entry
- trimmed leaves of 2 snake plants
- cleaned up some dirt spillage in new plant home area
- put one plant in its new home
Work office re-organization project:
- moved two file cabinets
- moved table & extra linen storage locker (this is our back-up linen for when we run out of what the linen company brings us each week)
- moved more of granddaughter's things from office to my car to take home (drawings & coloring books, etc)
- moved boxes of things & went through them to decide where to re-locate
- took stacks of Freebies out to dining room for customers to take (touristy-type stuff - don't need these things cluttering up my office)
- re-arranged items on the two wall-shelves - better organized now
- consolidated two boxes into one & dated it - to put into basement (time-limited storage required)
More of this in the evening:
- took everything off bookcase next to my desk
- put books, telephone books, some binders, old reservation books (for reference) on the bottom shelf of book case
- put non-window envelopes on bottom shelf (I don't use them very often, so they didn't need to be on the higher shelves)
- threw away/added to recycle: lots of paper & old magazines & catalogs
- replaced binders, books, etc on middle shelf (the ones I still need to use)
- re-organized standing file sorter on top shelf & got rid of most scrap paper that had accumulated - It looks much neater
- cleared pile on desk & sorted through it
- put all papers 'To be filed' into a pocket folder with label: File
- made desk top neater (more to do, yet, but this is good)
made rice & beans & seitan while on midday break (in crockpot) more laundry while on midday break ate salad (first course of dinner at restaurant) ate rice & beans (second course of dinner at home) while watching tv with Hubby

Good morning/evening to all! razy-Be careful with that knee. I agree with djdj, it probably could use some ice. djdj-Good luck with your fridge/freezer! I love your description of mancreature's quest for food. I can almost picture it. Ta Da's -Up, shower, meds, ready for work. -Made bed. -Ex dropped sons by to pick up some things and be taken to school. Got out of shower to the sound of frantic ringing of doorbell. (Why don't they just call so I can leave the storm door unlocked?) -Older son went on with his Dad to band practice. -Breakfast and tooth brushing for younger son. Had him change shirts as his smelled of mildew ! Going to find out who is doing laundry over there! -Dropped off younger son at school. To Do's -Dollar Store for cleaning supplies for fiance's new house this Saturday. -Return craft project to Hobby Lobby, it is not what I want. -Return DVD to Blockbuster. -Go to other Dollar Store for fav trash bags. -Buy comic storage box for son's collection that is strewn throughout the house. -Fluff and fold load of towels in dryer. -Personal grooming. -Clear clutter off of dining table so I can have a place to sit and talk with the organizer coming tomorrow after work. -Dare I try to get to bed early??

Razy - Despite the bad knee and lack of a plan, I thought you did very well today. Good work!
djdj - Really nice job on the maintenance. I'm impressed by the way you are keeping older areas tidy while working on new areas. You are going to get your space in shape in no time.
Eagle - You got a ton of activities done today, my friend. VERY impressive! Looks like your office will be a lot more clutter-free now.
AnnieOkie - Sometimes I wonder if there is a switch that trips when I take a shower. It tells people to call or ring the doorbell NOW. Or run the dishwasher.
Lessismore - Hope you have a chance to have a great time at your conference, Less. After this last week, you deserve one... or two.
messyshellby - Carrot-apple juice? You have me curious! Sounds very healthy, as well.
