Today is the 12th day of the month. And I've got something different in mind....
Let's go to the bedroom, grab a plastic bag, an empty box, and a laundry basket on the way. Pick up 12 things that are rubbish and put them in the bag Pick up 12 things that don't belong in this room and put them in the box Put 12 pieces of clothing in the basket (either clean or dirty, you choose) Okay, now the second part of this exercise.. - Put the plastic bag in the bin
- If the clothes in the basket are dirty, dump them straight in the washing machine, and TURN IT ON! If the clothes are clean, fold them up and put them in their drawers.
- Get the box of goodies and put each object in it's proper home.
Now, go have a cup of tea and a rest

UdderChaos? You do know you're mean, don't you? (just kidding). Here I was opening this challenge, expecting to find the generic daily number challenge. But you "had something different in mind". I was initially very demand resistant to this challenge, so I avoided it for several days. Then I realized my bedroom needed help, so ... why not do this challenge? 12 pieces of rubbish from bedroom -- tossed. I picked up 12 pieces of trash and recycling, put them into two bags .... and then carried the bags to trashcan and recycle bin. - 1. an empty paper coffee cup
- 2. a broken plastic lid to paper coffee cup
- 3. an empty limeade bottle
- 4. an empty plastic tray from takeout vegetarian sushi
- 5. an empty carton that had contained almond milk
- 6. an empty carton that had contained pineapple orange juice
- 7. a dirty tissue (kleenex) from my illness last week
- 8. an empty package that had contained throat lozenges
- 9, 10, 11, 12: four individual wrappers of throat lozenges
12 laundry things from bedroom, dealt with. I picked up 12 pieces of dirty laundry off the bedroom floor, and then placed them in a pile on my bed ... and then I picked up this pile as an "armful" and carried it to the washing machine ... and started the washer! (I didn't bother using a basket). I'm glad you said "start the washer!" because I did. I didn't wait until there were more clothes. I just started it with those 12 things. YAY! 3 skirts, one bra, 2 shirts, 4 pairs underwear, 2 socks. 12 things in bedroom -- put away: (I didn't bother using a box to carry them,) - 2 towels brought to bathroom
- 1 paystub brought to desk drawer
- 1 blanket removed from bedroom floor and put on bed
- 1 bill to brought to desk
- 2 handfulls of trash tossed into trashcan
- 5 items of dirty clothing to hamper.
? I don't know why this challenge seemed so daunting when I first read it. Perhaps it was the third part -- the idea of "putting stuff away in homes". I don't have homes for lots of things. But then I realized that the laundry hamper and the trashcan could be "homes" for things, too. So that made the challenge easier. It took less than 12 minutes to do the entire challenge (including all three parts!) I did this on the 17th instead of on the 12th ... but who cares? I got it done! Thanks for this challenge, UdderChaos. My bedroom looks a bit better now! --
