Good morning everyone! I'm getting a late start today, I've been up, but haven't been doing very much that's constructive. Now I only have an hour before leaving for work so I have to get moving. Make bed Scoop litter pans Wash cat food dishes Collect laundry to start when I get home this afternoon Diane

chocolatetruffle, that's a lot of fruit! I hope you can eat it all before it goes bad. I hate wasting food, so I only buy 2 bananas at a time. Your green bean stir fry sounds good, too! Got up at 7 this morning and got a large bag of trash out. Started scrubbing some more places that I want to prime and paint. I hate washing out paint brushes, so I always look for several areas to prime in one day. Trash is gone. I'd better go make some breakfast before it gets much later.

Good morning. I got up 1 hr earlier than I had been, I need to prepare for school as well. Tomorrow I'll need to get up at 7 ,but I'm already tired now, go figure. Still haven't heard from the bus driver, and school starts on Monday, Hope to hear from him soon, so I know what time pick up is this year, has been 730 for the last 2 years, so that will be the assumption if I don't hear from him.
I ate breakfast and took my meds, my coffee is almost gone, so I guess it's time to get to work.
I need to swap laundry I need to put away dishes I washed last night I need to wash more dishes.

Last night was a bust. I managed to get a manicure....(not important to the house but important to me)
That was at 630. I missed my 7pm church meeting but managed to get to my 730 Big Event meeting. We met at a Panera - so I was able to grab some soup for dinner.
ugh...gotta go to a meeting....

I got 6 areas primed! One outside and 5 inside. Just finished my lunch. Going to try to get all the painting done today on those areas. I hope I don't find anything else to paint, but knowing me, I will.

Next: - shower - call about a medical bill - clean up the kitchen Got the morning list done, then went out for a lovely long lunch with a friend and swung by the local thrift store on the way home. I found a piece of vintage pyrex to add to my collection, plus an organizer thingy (that's a technical term ) to use in my basement pantry. Next up: - respond to a prospective client inquiry - write a contract for a subcontractor on the Big New Project - continue research for Big New Project - make dinner - help DD find paint in the basement - start making a dent in the filing that my helper pre-sorted yesterday

I got 6 areas primed!Alright Sue! I'm back from work, I had 3 dog walks plus cat care in a row, and as usual when I'm on my feet for more than 3 hours in a row, they hurt! I'm home the rest of the day though, so I'm determined to get a few things done. First I have to make a phone call, my friend with the health problems--if she's home, I'll be a while, if not, I'll leave a message and be back with a list. Diane

I'm a painting fool today!!! So far, I've used the primer in 6 areas, and used 2 different color paints! I'm glad I finally got in the mood to paint ON a nice dry weather day! Diane, I'm sorry your feet are hurting again. Did you put them up for a while before starting on your next chores? chocolatetruffle, what Pyrex dish did you find, and what color? I'm stuck in mid-century, too. I love the cloth tablecloths. Back to painting....................

Sue, I'm so glad you're getting the painting done! Yes, I did sit for a while when I got home. My feet already feel better, because I just spent the last hour on the phone to my friend, and I was lying down the whole time. Now I'm eating dinner, and after that I have to get to the sweeping from my last list, because that is still not done.
So, next:
Sweep problem areas Move laundry to dryer Clean up dinner stuff Cat feeding

sue5000, I snagged the pink Pyrex flamingo round casserole baking dish. Pickers go through almost daily and get the good stuff as soon as it's on the shelf, so it was a lucky score. I have about 100 mid-century tablecloths. Do you collect them as well? I consider them works of art and put a different one on my table every week. Space wise, they're a good collectible because you can fold and stack them to make a pretty display and they don't take up huge amounts of room. I got almost everything done on my list from earlier, except DD didn't need to hunt for paint after all. And I haven't got to filing yet, so I delegated dinner cleanup to DS and DD; they played rock-paper-scissors for it and DD lost. (So then I told DS since he had extra time, he could go get rid of a dozen of his 30 T-shirts. He came back with 7 he's willing to part with, which I will accept as good enough.) Off to whittle away the filing ...

ohblondie How wonderful on the manicure! Good for you on excellent self care! chocolatetruffle How nice - lunch with a friend and a vintage pyrex! What a special day! sue5000 Well done on the painting! dtesposito Sounds like a day full of maintenance to me! Well done! Double kudos for maintenance in my book! boyswillbeboys I'm sure you have extra to do with the start of school! Great job! Got the trash out today and wrote to my far away family, V and his mom, E. I listened to Russian phrases all afternoon while I composed the letters and read as I walked at a speed of 1.5 miles for 3 intervals of 10 minutes. This is quite a quick pace for me. The other night I went to Ladies Exercise at church. Usually we do a Leslie Sansome tape inside. The remote needed batteries so the three of us decided to just go for a walk. They could both walk much much faster than me. So I said, go on, I'll be fine. And I watched as we walked that with every step we took, they got farther and farther in front of me until I couldn't see them anymore. I just couldn't keep up with a brisk pace like that. So, I walked alone. It was hot but at least we were on a shady trail. I would be lying if I said it didn't bother me that I was alone. I should be used to it. But I'm not. I just admired the flowers and looked at the little dove I saw. That's the one thing I have learned, if you're walking silently you don't frighten away the little birds. You see a lot more little birds and squirrels and rabbits. I'm glad I went for the walk. But at the same time, I am kind of sorry that I went. One of the main reasons I go is not for the exercise but for the fellowship. And when that didn't happen for me, it really made me sad. I think that's one reason I appreciated V and his mom so very much. When I was there, he told me that when he was busy, his mom would do things with me. So every other day I got to spend the day with someone fun to be with. Someone to laugh with and talk with and enjoy the day with. When you are all alone in a strange country, this means a lot. It means a lot even to be in my own country. In fact, after getting to have someone to be with even half the time, made me realize how lonely I really am. So, those of you who have someone to share your home with who helps to give your life meaning, give those people an extra hug and think of me. I want what so many take for granted. (not implying anyone here, just that I personally know people who do nothing but complain about the people they chose to be in their life)

I finally finished the sweeping, got interrupted by another call from a neighbor who just wanted to chat a little.
Truffle, good work on getting your list done today.
Vyaspigeon, I must say I think it was rude of the women to leave you alone on the exercise walk. I can see telling you that in future walks they would be walking more quickly than you so maybe you wouldn't want to come, but since you were supposed to be exercising together at the church they should have walked at your pace once you all started out together. Maybe you can find someone else in your church or your neighborhood looking for a walking buddy who needs a slower pace.
Next:
Scoop litter pans Restock drinks Make grocery shopping list for tomorrow Get checks ready for deposit tomorrow
