Razy, your garden sounds delightful. Celeste, your mom's memories of vacationing in France sound quite nice, too. Even if... Wonderful fictitious memories sound so much more comforting than the knowledge that one has lost memories. I have vague memories and sometimes I wish I could remember more clearly. Lost memories and ghosts of memories just don't seem all that enjoyable, so while she has happy memories to give her pleasure, I think it's great. Lilith, I started to say 'Hi' to you yesterday, then got busy & didn't come back to post the greetings or my list. How did your day go? Is your neighbor okay? Lessismore, 7 boxes packed. That's quite a lot of packing in one day. Plus maintenance. Great day. Djollydjolan, a nice walk and a cuppa' sounds like a very peaceful activity. Hope you are feeling less horrified today. Yesterday I did a bit of shopping in the morning. Then in the afternoon, I showed son's house to a couple wanting to rent. Son's house has been sitting empty for 5 months and listed for sale. But the housing market is pretty slow here right now. When hasn't it been slow here? Anyway, son & DIL finally decided to rent it out rather than have it sit empty while not selling. They'll take it off the market if it rents long term. Well the couple want to live there with their two daughters and they want it long-term. So today I'll check their references and let my son know. He'll be thrilled. For all the bragging he's been doing about their financial situation since moving, when I told him a window needed to be replaced, he said they couldn't afford to replace a window right now, not until it rented. Today, the restaurant is open even though it is Sunday. We'll be closed tomorrow instead. There is a special town event going on this weekend, which is why we switched our days off this week. Being open on Sunday is not normal for us, and being open today means it's now day #7 in a row. At my age, working 7 days in a row is not as easy as it used to be. But at least it will be a short day. eagle's Sunday morning wake-up routine Googled prospective tenants laundry: one dryer load done laundry: one washer load started put away some clean dishes shred some papers call prospective renters' references clean something put something away: laundry, dishes attend to plant sanctuary continue paper reduction project at work (I've been working on this for 3 days re: former employee files) rent Rug Doctor clean front sections of restaurant carpet (sections I didn't get last week) go over some other other areas of carpet (the Rug Doctor kept pulling up dirt with each pass last week, so I believe I can get a lot more out again tonight & tomorrow) eat at reasonable hours today vitamins

yesterday turned out not so great for me. today is a new day though and we'll see how it goes... the fat cat is sitting at my feet on a pile of dirty laundry.. there is little he loves in life better than a mountain of dirty laundry he can throw himself on top of and hang his legs off of. he's a great little guy. there, one happy thing. took a shower, mancreature made me hot tea while i dried off my hair and brushed it out... now i'm dressed, and well that's about it. lookin' fierce for the cleaning with no makeup and a bandana on my head to keep my hair covered so i don't have to deal with it. dressed for the job eh. but ok. meds taken, i'm human
bathroomswished and swiped, catbox scooped and sprinkled, shower scrubbed when i took my shower and i straightened up in there. towels are in the washer
bedroomsheets stripped and washing, dusted, cleared off nightstands, cleaned candleholders and put out new candles, dirty laundry picked up, trash tossed
bathroomswished, swiped, scooped and sprinkled catbox, put out fresh candles and lit em, tidied up
hallwaytidied up
diningroompicked up detritus from table, mostly papers that went into the blackhole of an inbox.wiped down furniture and aquariums tossed dirty dishes into sink to soak, picked up animal toys
livingroomgarbage tossed, picked up books and junkfood and animal toys
kitchenamazing wonderful mancreature took care of kitchen. i started just writing a list of what it means to do maintenance on kitchen, what it means to do weekly cleaning of kitchen, and monthly maintenance of kitchen. i felt sort of mean and nasty but he's happy because now he actually understands what it takes to please me and it's not "scrub every inch with a toothbrush twice a day." so while he still thinks it's excesive he doesn't think it's cruel or unusual or impossible... huzzah for learning to live together.
front porchswept, garbage coralled up, boseiju watered balcony- i have to admit this is not at maintenance. it is not a pleasant place to be. do not want.
cats
ferrets
percymancreature fed and watered him and let him run around in exercise ball
fishfed, aquariums algae scrubbed. would like to get in some aquarium scrubbing time in the next few days.. clean filters, replace filter pads, assess for what else they need bleh
plants gallons of water later the houseplants are watered.
vacuum take down trash
laundry- 2 loads washed shampoo scary corner of livingroom
give ferrets baths groom cats
today we are tackling the pantry. it's a gigantic pit in there. making a meal is a huge freaking ordeal. all in all it basically sucks and the gameplan is to fix that. somehow.
i want to deal with the fabric half of the closet in the doomroom today as well
that's it. just conquering the world on my todo list today
-------------- set out pills for next week in pill organiser. yumyum

My gf was in town today, so I'm getting a dreadfully late start. Better late than...tomorrow? Some FABULOUS news re. the new house--we have a brand new washer and dryer, and the carpets have been professionally cleaned. My gf's mom is going over tomorrow to wipe down the insides of the kitchen cabinets. Very sweet of her. It gives me a little motivation to know that I'll be getting a fresh start very soon. I certainly don't want to take my dirty/dusty junk into a clean house! Still working on healthy eating. I did pretty well yesterday...sort of. We had sushi last night, and I totally could have made some better choices. Doing better today. weigh take meds (i'm having a horrible time remembering this lately) fold/put away towels in dryerload dishwasherwipe down kitchen countersscoop litter boxesget clothes ready for tomorrowpack box 1 pack box 2 meet with thesis chairprep for thesis defenseclean out fridgetrash and recycle to curbcracked gecko tank to curb8 glasses of water healthy food
