This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.)
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous.
- Do one more little thing.
- Do another little thing.
Once you have 3 things done, post them here
- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing.
- Go forth and conquer, return and post again..
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or
depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying
- Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen
- Put away phone book
- Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's
- Took pop can to kitchen
- Put away phone book
- Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's:
- Bring plates and glasses to kitchen
- Put dirty socks in hamper
- Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da![/size][/b]
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.[/size][/b]
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das.

It's 8.25am! I'm up early because OH started work early today. And I can't go back to bed, as I might ordinarily, as I have an ante-natal appointment at the hospital. As it's so early, I haven't done much! But here goes... TADAs: Emptied tumble dryer. Made OH's breakfast. Took dog out. TODOs: Go to appointment, and actually remember to take my maternity notes with me! Return dvd to library. 1 hour de-squaloring bedroom 1. Good luck to everyone!  |

well, it's kind of early for me.
I have meditated -- if you can call it that, i was woolgathering.
done a lesson.
looked up phrase in Bible that came to me and learned of what followed it. amazing.
went to gym and worked out for forty five mins or so (still there)
ate some dry rice crackers.
tried moving all these garment bags -- and clothes-- but it was a bad idea and put it all back.
straightened the covers. decanted stuff.
tossed a container. gathered together and tossed food garbages.
put some dirty underwear from near my bed with the d. und. near the door, plus bottle of deterg. together in bag near door. so can take out to wash whenever.
made new tea-- and took at least one vitamin. not sure of the other...
did your basic grooming. Oh! threw out a dress a shoe a magazine a shoe tree -- quoi autre?
overtired. disappointing last night. elated from my work on the apt -- three stuffed bags, two loads laundry, additional tossing -- and that although I had been beat, after I rested i knew I could go back to it. inspired.
but went out for food and then to use computer and came on chat -- and was dashed. helas! sorry. kept being told of dire outcomes again and again. do you not think that is on my mind? but to have a window of hope and freedom -- very important. havent been able to get over yet --

Keep up your hope on getting the work done. As long as you are moving more out than what is coming in, you are making progress!
I don't chat, but I am here on this thread today. I am not sure of your situation, but if there are dire outcomes to be had, they will surely find you if you sit on your hands and wait for them. So do what you can, and prioritize as best you can.
TaDa's:
Took out a can of recycling.
Found a checkbook in my attic desk. (Hmmm... I have three 'offices' going!)
Cleaned second half of sink, filled with dishes; first half now holding a bag of nasty groceries that I didn't put away.
To Do's:
Call my bank to be sure they do e-checks
Pay bill online, if so.
Heat something to eat.

 Hi all, Woke up to temp around 50degrees. I know that's not cold for most of you, but in south FL believe me it's a rude awakening. Looks like it will be cool all week. TaDas walked dog am meds breakfast office for 1 hour Ladies lunch bunch made bed haircut (badly needed) thawed shrimp and brought some to a friend paid one bill on line ToDo  empty dish washer wash pans prepare dinner batch in washer # pay two bills by phone Later!

Haven't posted today, but I did do some stuff. TaDa: - carried a basket of laundry downstairs - folded a load of laundry - put away 2 loads of laundry - went through papers and other stuff to clear off table between the chairs in the living room - went grocery shopping(three stores) - put away groceries - made lots of phone calls on behalf of dd - picked up some papers and other junk on the floor of the living room - fed kids lunch and probably a couple other things I can't remember ToDo: - put costume stuff in a bag and take down to storage area - make dinner or help dh make it  - help dh give dd a bath - look at finances and decide what bills to pay  I didn't post today, until now, but I was thinking about it all day so you guys still kept me going, knowing that I could come and tell you guys all I had done  |

Wrote deposit slip for the bank
Mailed my bill ( Postmark of today is okay)
Dropped off/picked up library materials.
To Do's:
Walk to a friend's house, and watch a movie.
(Maybe) wash a load of clothes
Pick out clothes for tomorrow
But right now, I am going to lie down with a new (library) book, and a cup of tea. (I like to read in bed.)

Hello!
Congratulations to wantinmore, simplegifts, hopehope, iprocrastinate, and judejude for all you got done today!
I actually got up VERY early this morning (around 3AM !!!), and did a bunch of the daily "fun creative challenges" (the ones with the word-of-the-day hidden inside). And I also did a bunch of the "number-of-the-day" challenges.
I did several days worth of both types of challenges this morning. This was great, as my house had become a mess. I was amazed at how much got accomplished doing those little things. .... I confess that there were 2 or 3 of those threads in which I merely posted something I had done on a recent day. But I did do a lot of them today. It made a difference.
Then I took a hot shower and .... relaxed into a long hot bath. It was like I had done all that stuff in honor of prior days ... .and the bath was like ending those days.
When I got out of the tub, I officially began today, as follows:
First set of today's Working-in-Threes Ta-das:
1. Drank morning coffee.
2. Got dressed.
3. Got breakfast burrito on way to work
4. Went to work.
Second set of Ta-das:
1. Worked all day.
2. Remembered to take lunch break.
3. Went to appt with nutritionist.
Third set of Ta-das:
1. Went to ATM and got cash to pay nutritionist after appt -- and paid her.
2. Drank some water.
3. Went to Overeaters Anonymous meeting.
4. Had some herb tea at the meeting hall.
Fourth set of Ta-das:
1. Came home and fed and watered pets.
2. Let dogs out and in.
3. Rubbed Mr. Puppy's belly.
4. Threw tennis ball for Mr. Doggy.
Fifth set of Ta-das:
1. Made myself Mexican microwave vegetarian dinner.
2. Drank more water.
3. Threw away used microwave dinner dish and packaging.
4. Washed fork.
To Do:
1. Clean something while waiting for Mr. Kitty to finish eating his dinner.
2. Cuddle with Mr. Kitty.
3. Nap.
4. Get up later and clean something else.
