Thanks for starting the thread, Lessismore. D, looks like you have a great start on your day. And yesterday you certainly got a lot done. I'll be out and about most of the day, to and fro, carpet cleaning, meating people regarding my son's house and the washer & dryer, fixing stuff & so forth. Some time today, I was going to go to Sam's Club, but I don't think I can fit it into my day. So Hubby will have to go alone, I think. We'll figure that out later, I guess. eagle's Monday morning wake-up routine laundry: one dryer load done laundry: one washer load washing answered telephone/listened to messages (good thing, as I have a Women's Club meeting tonight I would have forgotten) started dinner in Crockpot packed a few cleaning supplies into car to bring to son's house go to restaurant & vacuum where I shampooed carpet last night re-shampoo any spots still evident as needed deal with deliveries (linen/food) move tables & chairs (Hubby helped)
shampoo other areas that still have spots as needed (that were covered with the tables & chairs) go to son's house & meet buyers for washer & dryer call son about basement light fixture & stove (renters now want to bring their own stove) started a move-in checklist for rental pull a few weeds mop basement floor get basement bathroom light to come on (that's why I need to call son, I think there was a trick to it that I don't recall) take pre-move-in photos of house condition to add to move-in checklist attend to outdoor pots, etc. as needed meet renters at 3 pm to sign lease & take rent & deposit checks return Rug Doctor by 4:30 shopping trip to Sam's Club prepared snack for Women's Club attended Club

Wow, seeing those lists get whittled down sure inspires me!! You all are awesome!! Well, picked up fiance from airport Saturday, which put a glitch into my plans to have his new house cleaned and ready for him when he officially moves in today. So we went out there yesterday and I cleaned up the house for him while he moved some small items. He will be having movers get the big stuff today, but I have to work. So, got that done, but nothing at my home....back at it this evening. Edited to add: I forgot that I did swipe and sweep the main bathroom at my house Saturday morning and put down clean rugs. Also folded dried sheets and put away. AND finally colored my hair! Missed son marching at final football game Friday night, I was nauseated and stayed home, hated to miss it... Ta Da's -Up, shower, meds, ready for work. To Do's -Pay two bills on lunch hour. -Charge cell phone when I get home from work. -Supper. -Grocery store. -At least one load of laundry to folded/put away. -Supervise homework. Have a great day everyone!

Actually, the situation is a bit off the norm. We probably won't marry until spring, possibly sooner. But I am going to continue to live where I do now for at least a few years. My sons go to a great school and are near their Dad and only grandparents (their Dad's parents). Fiance's new place is 42 miles away. I don't want to move them away from their school or family (or commute them). We have been together almost five years and this situation has worked for us thus far. He is totally agreeable with it and we will continue until my younger son has graduated. In the meantime, we will spend every other weekend and one or two days a week together at the new place (possibly more, as there are lots of things to do out there and the boys will probably want to go out there alot). We plan to clear some land and build a new home out there within about 5 years. So, it's unconventional, but we know it will work for us!!

there is nothing wrong with unconventional.. especially when conventional seems to have a 50% failure rate anyway<G> figure it makes more sense to look at what actually works for an individuals situation, your arrangement sounds pretty great as is. you've got a country estate now and a town home

Take meds Email family pics to Cousin Donna Maintenance (kitchen, living room, my bedroom, family room, dining room, computer room, Mom's apartment) Update MP Official and Fanfare Answer email I was absent yesterday, but I AM doing tasks! Hurray! _________________________ Lessismore - Thanks for starting the thread today. Hope the thesis defense went well! (That hollow sound is me knocking on wood. It happens to be my head. ) The new washer and dryer sounds fabulous. djdj - For someone who started out the day feeling so lousy, you got a lot of work done today. Good job! So pleased you and mancreature understand one another on kitchen cleaning now. Eagle - The restaurant floors sound like they are a lot cleaner these days, thanks to your efforts. Well done! Mom is still relaxed and happy. Her pleasant delusions, like the trip to France, aren't a problem. It makes her happy. She's excited today because she's coming home tomorrow for a while. AnnieOkie - You did a lot today. I think you got more done Saturday than you realized at first. Is that a sign that it may be getting a little easier? I think your living situation between the two homes sounds like the best of both worlds. Good thinking. Hypatia - Hey, you did a lot of laundry and tasks for work! You are setting yourself up for success. Razy - With late fall closing in here, your garden of sanity sounds lovely. Glad the knee is so much better. Countrygurl - Kudos to you for doing laundry and working on two rooms. You go, girl! _________________________
