Happy birthday, Celeste & Celeste's Sock Puppet. I hope you both have a great day with mom home, and all. Thanks for starting the thread, Lioness. Djollydjolan, I hope your doctor appointment goes well. My day was too full to get everything on my list done yesterday. The cleaning up around the basement floors in son's house was left undone. But the washer & dryer sold & are out and I'd be cleaning the floor again if I had done it before hand, anyway. I did get the taller weeds pulled, but noticed a few shorter more difficult to handle ones while I was at it. I will try and get the other things done this afternoon during my break from the restaurant. I need to bring a broom & dust pan over, as well as thick leather gloves to pull those other weeds. I also want to get a broken window fixed. The renters pick up the keys Thursday night, so I want to get everything done today & tomorrow, if I can. Hubby bought the parts to fix the storm door, so he will probably help get that fixed & with a little luck, we can get the window out & over to the glazier in short order. Granddaughter's letter came yesterday, so I'll be writing her back today, too. So, I guess I better write that list out in list form, or I'll lose track of all the ToDo's.... eagle's Tuesday morning wake-up (6:23 after Hubby) routine (I'm usually up before him, so he put on the coffee today) washed a dish (too tired last night to stand, let alone wash a dish after the Women's Club, which lasted way too long last night) laundry: folded & put away some clean laundry (yeah, it'd be funny if I folded & put away dirty laundry, wouldn't it?) laundry: started a load in the dryer checked the mail (we forgot to check the mail yesterday - Hooray, a letter from granddaughter. She told me it was coming and to imagine a picture of a cricket when I read it. Obviously she wrote about a cricket.) shower & wash hair laundry: finish putting away the rest of the clean laundry (now in dryer) tidy a room soak feet Yoga throw something away donate something go to work & begin ToDo List there - continue paper reduction project (started last week)
- work on tax forms due for business (payroll taxes are a day late - horrors)
- banking
- time cards & payroll data entry
- pay some bills
- continue office organization project (started last week) - actually the paper reduction is part of that, but I want something a bit more visible
take a break from restaurant & begin ToDo List at son's house - Fix storm door
- Check window - what's needed to remove & replace glass?
second cleaning of inside of freezer & check refrigerator for odors
- sweep & mop basement floor
- get bathroom light to come on (son told me the trick)
- mop basement floor
- clean basement bathroom
- wear leather gloves to work in yard - pull weeds, attend to potted plants (hopefully the 21 degree weather today has not already cracked the few clay pots)
pay some bills at home 15 minutes in home office WRITE TO GRANDDAUGHTER & include a photo or sticker or something eye catching for her I wasn't as ambitious as my list - didn't get as much done as I wanted. I did manage to fix the storm window, as it was easy. I also got the kitchen window out (and put it back in) and that was easy. But I didn't get it fixed, because there was noone in town who actually fixes windows on the same day you deliver it to them. I can't leave the window gaping open indefinitely. Hubby called his cousin (the one who put in our new floor & he said he'd do it, but he never called back to confirm a time to meet.)

Happy birthday Celeste! eagle - My grandmother still writes to me every week, I'm in my mid-30s. We live on opposite sides of the country now and it means so much to me when I open my mailbox and have a letter from her. I have a meeting today that will take up most of my time but I still hope to get a few things done. I'll make a list, so I have some options to choose from. I think I'm going to focus on the kitchen today. prep business package #1 prep business package #2 prep business labels shower & dress go to meeting laundry - diapers laundry - me unload dishwasher reload & start dishwasher laundry - kitchen towels & cloths clear off kitchen island clear empty boxes out of the kitchen take out kitchen trash take out recyclables clear extra recyclables off of counters 15 minutes cleaning in kitchen

Hey everyone. I have a 6yearold birthday party sleepover on Friday. My house was clean-ish last week but not maintained, and I have a ton to do. Hopefully I can pull it together with a little help here.
Living room/dining room: clear chairs of clutter clear tables of clutter clear desk of clutter wipe down tables and desktops sweep clutter out of corners and from behind furniture and sort sweep floor mop take out trash
Kitchen clean counters declutter counters 15 minutes a day wipe down appliance fronts empty sink daily and clean it empty dishrack take out trash sweep/mop
Laundryroom wash, reboot, wash...PUTAWAY sweep/mop move in the cat box - get it out of guest bathroom (ew)
Bathroom 1 Clean toilet clean tub clean counter clean mirrors ensure paper supply wash towels and rehang sweep/mop
Bathroom 2 clean toilet replace toilet lid that fell off last week clean tub put in clean paper clean counter clean mirrors sweep/mop
sweep off front porch
clean up daughters room and get together linens for beds

Happy Birthday, Celeste!Y'all are all doing great!
Today's Tadas: Some of these may seem like tiny things...but for me may not be soo tiny....
[b]1)dressed2shoes 2)took DD to school 3)attempted walk with puppy, but just not happenin' today. 4)took DS to school 5)walked with DAngelDog for 17 minutes (couldn't quite reach the 20 mark...) 6)folded/hung load of laundry 7)put that load away 8)moved load into dryer 9)folded/hung that load of laundry 10)put that load away 11)put away folded blanket that was sitting on top of couch -- got out folding chair to stand on & put it in top of hallway closet. No more waiting for DH or DS to do it since they don't need to get a chair. No more just having it thrown up there any ole way by DS or DH. 12)gathered some hangars from DD's & DS's room 13)earlier this morning--swiped area between toilet seat & lid of front bathroom toilet 14)swiped front bathroom sink & area of sink counter in front of sink 15)ditto #13 & #14 above for back bathroom 16)put another load in the washer 17)filed DS & DD's report cards in file cabinet in Office of Doom rather than leaving them out for a few years in pile, bag, box or whatever.... 18)put away hydrogen peroxide that was left out in front bathroom 19)called re: sweatpants, again. ARGGHH! agravating issue... so shtupid! 20)made change to calendar---change of DS's high school graduation date 21)called DMom with new date 22)called DMIL with new date 23)returned call re: DSil 24)drank 2 glasses of water 25)washed 2 sinkfuls of dishes 26)As I posted on the "smell" creative challenge: In my eating area... I stepped on something and heard a faint hiss & then the smell of spray paint. Yep, stepped on a can at just the right spot... There were 2 cans of spray paint that my DH had bought & said belonged to the Boy Scout troop. He asked me to please return them for him. I tried returning them months ago, but no response about them. So, I had to get rid of that smell, so put that bag with the spray paint cans into another bag & put it with the giveaway stuff.
I'm not tellin' DH.... 27)picked up DD & got her a quick bite to eat & then dropped her off at school again 28)picked up DS from school 29)went thru today's mail...mostly junk 30)went halfway thru a bag of stuff from the eating area. It has a bag of stuff inside it that I just started on. When I get thru that bag then I'll be done with that bag from the dining room 31)picked up DD from school 32)sent email to DH re: possibly incorrect date for Memphis contingent to come in town to attend DS's Eagle Court of Honor in Jan. or Feb. I thought we were going to combine with his best friend and have it around their high school graduation in June... Hmmmm. 33)took DS to meet with District Boy Scout Leader to get his Eagle project approved. What could have been grueling interview for my DS went very well. DS had done everything himself, expresses himself well & is quick thinker... So, Yay! he got it signed off on. This leader was the 4th and final signature that he had to get in order to execute his project.

Thanks for the birthday wishes today, friends. It was quiet, but very, very pleasant.
My list was fairly minimal since we had Mother home for the first time in a long while. The cats... and Mother... were delighted. Actually, I loved it too. It made my birthday. Felt good to have Mom in the house again, no matter how briefly. She did fall while she was home, though, which was disappointing since she was doing so well getting around.
Good work on your lists, all. You are amazing.
I'm going to go to bed early this evening. 'Night, everyone!

So glad you had a nice birthday, Celeste. Hope your Mom is okay. I'm sure it is very scary when she falls. My DH fell last week & that was very frightening (he was very lucky--just skinned up, bruised rib, etc)...he is much younger than your DMom. Annie--thanks for the "cheers". (don't you get tired of those fundraisers? wonder if I'll miss them... one of mine will be in college next year & the other one--the next year). CD
