Great work everyone Ally do you have an ollies near you? They always have small remnants of linoleum for a reasonable price. I was looking a piece to put down in my foyer, which is tiny, only 5x5. I did look and saw a few things i liked but i wasnt ready to do that project yet. The pantry project sounds great, i hope you can post photos when youre done.

Hey, we can both work off your list! My dishes are in the dishwasher - check, first one done. Box something up - I'm going to go box up all the legs for the 2 shelving units that were sitting on the front deck, and get DH to drop them off after work tomorrow. Unfortunately, he already moved the shelf parts yesterday - onto the porch, argh. I need that space empty! So that'll take care of one more thorn in my side.

WTG for multi-tasking, creativechaos Phone calls & cleaning, yay! The 2 shelving units are going to donations. I got rid of the other one a few weeks ago. They're huge 3'x 6' plastic units that only encourage me to hoard, and clog up wall space. I thought they'd be good but they weren't. They added to my troubles. Gone! Next up is dinner, and then running the dishwasher. I hope your pt goes well! I'll join you back here in about an hour.

My power just came back on creativechaos for crying out loud! It's been off for 2 hours! I guess I was *meant* to take it easy today? Good work with the dishes, CC! Keep attacking the kitchen - that's where I'm headed, too. DH went to sleep already, so I can't make too much racket.

what you don't maybe realize, cyn, is - everything around here is grody! ok. i will do toiley duty too - i hope i don't get swallowed by some giant dust bunnies or cat hair gobs.
by the way, how did you do on the toiley? i'm going in.... threw some bleach in and ran. swished. there is an ugly stain of hard water scale that is growing in the bowl bottom. time for CLR next cleaning. had to use a knife last time.

My toiley's a beauty! My house has grody areas, too. Maybe you don't remember how bad my toiley was, when I joined here: it was totally dark inside, from the hard water deposits. Like, a *layer* of it, caked on top of the bowl. I had to use a razor blade to scrape it off! That took ages. I even took a screwdriver to it - except that ended up leaving big scratches, so I had to go back to the razor blade, chipping little flakes off at a time. Never again! I've learned my lesson, and I'm scrubbing it twice a week these days.

Alright, a new day to spend tackling this monster. Are you up yet, creativechaos it's 9am your time. Hup Hup! Yeah, easy for me to say - when I'm lounging around until noon, eh? Give me a shove. Better yet, give me a kick! I need to get down to business here! Fortunately, the shelves left this morning. I need to focus on animal care (rat cage & turtle tank) today, vacuuming, and a load of laundry. I'm going to move a bookcase, so I can dismantle another plastic shelf. I don't want to give myself all these stash & dash surfaces anymore, since I can't keep myself from cluttering them up. I need to methodically find homes for things around here - real homes, not just Plop & Go. Wish me luck!

I've been working non-stop all day! Blech! I didn't get to the rats' cage or turtle tank, but I did do everything else and then some. What a housekeeping day.

cyn great job! Maybe you can do critter care next? creativechaos where are you? Hoping things worked out well with the toilet cleaning. I had the same problem as cyn with a competely dark toilet. Mine was rust and lime buildup. I tried clr and limeaway. Neither did much, even after leaving it overnight. Found out the bleach is bad for hard water buildup, it actually makes it harder to remove. I finally got mine clean with lemons, salt and a pumice stone on a handle (from the dollar store). I should go clean mine now. I dont want it to ever get back to that level again. I washed all the dishes. Yes, i think every dish in the house. Ive been doing all sorts of cooking since last week and i did not do the dishes once. So the are drying now. I will eat some dinner and then find another pocket of squalor to clean up. Its trash night, i need to clean the frig.
