I'm just seeing this and obviously very behind. I think I read in an earlier post that weight counts. Is that right?
If so, I'm down ~75 pounds since the start of the year.
I have been tossing stuff this week but I haven't kept count so I'll start today and see how far I get.
Does stuff that came in recently count? Like old food in the fridge or junk mail? Even if they do, I dont think I'll count used diapers as that'll give me an almost unfair advantage.
Edit: I did throw out 25 items since I first posted this: 2 old ice cream buckets A broken food scale Misc baby bottle and breast pump parts A broken plastic toddler fork

Threw out 2 items that I know count:
A lone shoe the formerly belonged to Hubby's coworker that was left in our van months ago and thrown into our house
A plugin oil heater
So 27 not counting lost weight.

So, I had a box ready for the resale lady. I used to donate to her, but she talked me into signing up. I guess I need to change my tally code, cuz it isn't like it's GW or salvation army. I was unpacking the dining room deco during the dining room clear out and set up. (DR reached zero July 17. Awesome Possum. On July 2 it was 3-4-6' goat trails.) As I say, I used to donate to her. She couldn't tie my crap back to me. But, I signed up, so she know's what is from ME. I had been unwrapping-newspaper- deco stuff. Some, I just wrapped back up and put in the donation box. Man, that's a habit I have to unlearn. Well, they had been packed at my old house when I moved in 2013. That end of the kitchen had not been dusted in recent times. I realized I had to unwrap the deco stuff and wipe it off. It was a vace, and two salt peppers. Not a big bunch of crap. So, I take a damp rag out to the car one morning, unwrap it, and wipe it off. Danged if the ceramic tomato took off for parts unknown. It was a salt pepper corncob & tomato, and they sat on a little tray. A 3 pc set. I can't find the tomato. I'd have heard it if it it the cement floor. I look under all the seats, etc. I can't take the other two pieces out of the box, and donate it anyway, what if I absent mindedly put the tomato IN the box. O, the woe of the perfect donater resaler. Finally, Tues, I took the kitchen cart and the two hangers with the curtain sets on them. I set the van bench back up, and took another look around. Found the wayward tomato. Put her in the box. At lunch today, I had another errand, so, I dropped the box. Lady says, what's your number? (I only signed up a few days ago, probably not even 10.) I say. She looks me up, I have $28 and change. What the heck? Did you sell the cart? Yes. How much? $50. Nice. I sure couldn't have got $50 for it, maybe $20 if I went to all the work of a garage sale. Yuck. Never again. With $28 in my pocket.
