Righto. Okay. I can do this. No.. really..... I CAN! Full of lists, I know. Full of a lot of other stuff too...... But... This needs to be done. And it will be done. EVERY DAY. At least a load a day. At least. I have about 20 loads to be done before the laundry room is empty. And that's just what's already in there. Not including clothes strewn around the rest of the house.... And it needs to be washed. Dried. Folded. And.. PUT AWAYYYYYYYYYYY! Anyone who needs to join me, let's tackle our Mt. Washmore's. I plan on having a least half of this gone... today!!! It will probably take me all day... and most of the night... but I choose to spend this day getting that mountain down to a reasonable size so I don't have to wade to use the room. And I will FOLD FOLD FOLD. Every load I do, I am making $20. I work it out that if I got an ironing lady in, that's what it would cost me. So I'm going to pay myself. I will probably owe myself, and have to call in a debt collector to get me to pay me, but oh it will be worth it, just to have no more stinky clothes staring at me whenever I go to use the toilet. One load at a time. And the next one not started until the previous load has been folded and completely put away. I'm going to start easy. First loads will be towels. Then underwears. As these are verrry easy to fold and put away. In fact, I like folding towels. And undies, just ditched in the undie drawer. Thennnn... whites. Bleh. But there's not many of these. I abhor whites. I can't seem to keep them clean, so therefore, I do not own them. Right.. so.... get up... and put a load of washing on. I can do that.

UdderChaos, this is a good daily thread to have. I washed, dried, and almost put away three loads today. There are still many dirty items strewn around the house, most of them in my bedroom. I will unearth them tomorrow by the light of day. Here's an advance on your first load= $20.00. Don't spend it all in one place.

HA! Hahahahaha! And HA! It took me an hour and half, but the piles of CLEAN clothes already in the laundry room are folded.. and PUT...AWAY!!!! big hugs for me! Now I have a clean area to which I can put my new clean loads on. I have also washed a load of towels, and they are in the dryer as I speak. I haven't put a second load on yet, as from past experience I don't end up taking the clothes out of the dryer, therefore I don't put the washed clothes IN the dryer, THEREFORE the washed clothes sit in the washer and get funky. So I'm going to wait until the load is out of ther dryer and folded and put away, before I start a new load. Yes, I know, I'm doing it the slow way, but it's going to be the DONE-IT!!! way.

Hi Udder. I have a load of towels in the dryer... You are doing great. I know what you mean about finishing a load. I have cut out having baskets in my house. I don't have any laundry baskets anymore as I found that I was leaving laundry in them far too long. I used to have several full of dirty clothes that just sat around for And, then I had baskets of clean clothes in my Office of Doom, in the den & hallway...along with piles of clean laundry on *** Boy Chair & laundry folded taking up seats on couch & sitting on back of couch where it would get knocked down. Now, I gather the load put it in washer, then move to dryer & hang the hang-dry things. I put another load in washer (when I'm being good--strive for 2 loads per day). This is the tricky part........... I cannot wash anymore clothes until I fold/hang that load that is in the dryer. I grab one item at a time from the dryer & either hang it on hanger (hangers kept on a bar hanging in my laundry area) or fold it and put it on top of my washing machine. That way, I cannot wash anymore clothes or move load into dryer until the clothes on top of the washer are put away & the dryer is empty. If I have to leave folded laundry on the back of the couch (no where else do I permit it), then I made myself a another stinkin' rule that I cannot leave it there for more than 24 hours... that is the most & then i must deal with it. This has worked great for me... I won't say tha I "never" break my rules, but I feel guilty when I do ...so just tell myself I'll get back on track as soon as possible, and I do. So, I made rules for myself & have kept them. I like your idea of $20.00 per load---that sounds much more fun! I may not get to that load in the dryer tonight, as I have those awful, mean dishes that have been soaking in detergent water for several days now and now that water is really nasty! So, I am going in to deal with that. I dread the smell & wish that I hadn't done this as I'll bet now there is mold in the pipe from the sink... yuck! Best of luck to ya! CD

Yeah, Udder, I did those first 3 loads before you posted the new thread, plus I was in the wrong time zone/ wrong day, even. Today, though, I've washed one load and it's in the dryer. Everyone is doing great scaling Mt. Washmore!
