I hope everyone who was feeling ill yesterday is feeling better today. And that the plans for personal self care (haircuts & whatnot) went as desired. And that the inspirations that were felt by others' activities carry through today. I got a lot done at my son's house yesterday. There isn't much left for me to do there today, which is good, because the renters pick up the keys this afternoon. I'm going to go check on the freezer odor again. Maybe do a bit of hands & knees scrubbing behind the toilet in the basement & bring my cleaning supplies back home again. I may do one or two other things if time permits. One thing bothering me and not working to my satisfaction is the shower drain in the basement. And I didn't talk to son about it yet. The kitchen window will be replaced as soon as it comes in and I will inform the renters today about that. It was ordered yesterday. Also the strike plate for the storm door will be replaced when cousin contractor installs the window. I could actually do the strike plate myself, but I prefer to have someone more adept at these things do it. The time it would take me to do it exceeds the time it will take him to do it. At work I have two things that I MUST DO today. A tax form deadline is today, and I began the prep work for that last night. Another tax form deadline was Monday and I missed that one. I did the prep work for that last night, too. So if I get both those done today, I'll feel less stress. I really need to adhere to my plan to get these done two weeks before the deadlines. eagle's Thursday morning wake-up routine put on the coffee put away some clean dishes washed some dishes breakfast laundry: one load in dryer laundry: started a load in washer shower, etc. laundry: second dryer load done Yoga vitamins, apple put away cleaning supplies shredded some sensitive papers go to son's house before going to work check freezer odor - add a new jar of vinegar to freezer for safe measure - wiped it down one more time clean toilet bowl in upstairs bathroom scrub toilet & floor behind toilet in basement wiped down kitchen counters mopped the kitchen floor swept dining room floor picked up leaves that were tracked in from back yard clean sink in basement bathroom inspect shower drain in basement bathroom - cleaned around drain & shower floor remove my cleaning supplies from basement final walk-through of house to determine if all I can do, I have done put my cleaning supplies back into my car took more 'move-in condition' photos removed all the trash pull more weeds (there were a few more I didn't get yesterday) (I did not do this.) returned home & to shower & change printed a move-in checklist from internet to use with tenants go to work finished one set of tax forms for which I started prep last night banking - prepared, but did not go to bank hand deliver phone bill payment (this gets me outdoors for a brief walk, as does the banking) continue paper reduction project (doing a little bit everyday is helping reduce the thickness of several files - in future, I can do this as an ongoing thing & won't have to do it all at once like I am doing now - wish I'd have thought of this before) work on other project: moving a file to a binder - to make room in locking file cabinet for sensitive information, rather than stuff not needing to be locked up (again, wish I'd have thought of this earlier, then I wouldn't be having to do all this at once - it would be an ongoing thing)

Good morning, friends. I hope you're all doing well. I'm ever amazed and inspired by your accomplishments! I'm still at it--3 days to go. I didn't get as much crossed off my list as I hoped yesterday, but I did get some things done that weren't on my list. All of the kitchen cabinets are packed, and several pieces of furniture and bags went to friends or goodwill. I'm starting to drag a little. Feel a little like I might be coming down with something. I started Zicam last night and went to bed early. I hope I can ward off the cold for a few more days. Here's the super-ambitious list.... Weigh Find wallet!! Didn't do too well with the correspondence and grocery part of my list. I DID indulge in my germophobic side. Yesterday afternoon, when Dad no longer felt nauseous, he decided to hand wash, dry and put away our dishes. He's never really figured out that just because he isn't barfing at the moment doesn't mean he isn't contagious. So there he was, handling all the dishes we eat from. I loaded up most of our dishes into the dishwasher. It washes at higher temps than those that are hand washed. I'll put them away when they're done. Yesterday evening I also observed Dad getting some peaches out of a jar, eat a few, then spoon some from his dish back into the jar. Possible contamination with the virus concerned me, so I pitched the remainder. I'm sure Dad would think I was overly cautious, but with company coming, I feel better about the precautions. I don't feel like I'm exposing guests to his influenza any more than strictly necessary. I haven't cleaned out the vegetable bin in the fridge. There is two inches of slush at the bottom of it. At least we aren't buying more veggies at the moment! Truthfully, I'm miffed with him over this. I've told him time and again that we are wasting too much and keeps buying the stuff. (Okay, rant over!) Cindy was called into work this evening, so we ate our yummy food, talked a lot, then went our separate ways. No movie. We hope to do that tomorrow night. ____________________________________________ Eagle - Holy cow, you REALLY got a lot done at your son's rental! Most impressive! It is ready to go, with the remaining items are as far along the road to repair as they can be. Lessismore - Fingers crossed that Zicam does it's job. Yesterday's kitchen packing is great progress, and you got a lot of yesterday's tasks done today. I'm still not sure how you managed to fit in a dental appointment in the midst of all that. Great job with your list! AnnieOkie - Hope your fiance had a great birthday and enjoyed his present. Did you tell him you were playing a pincushion today? Cando - Well, I didn't come close to emulating your correspondence role model, but there is always tomorrow. Meanwhile, I get to celebrate that humongous list you annihilated. Great work, CD. You are an inspiration, even when I don't quite get there. djdj - You got a LOT marked off that list, and your maintenance accomplishments were impressive. Sorry about emofish.
