Mice are indeed in the cleanest of homes. There were mice in my old office. And my husband's brother and wife had mice in their kitchen, they'd find boxes of food chewed open. I have never ever seen a mouse in my house. I have seen spiders!

Vivre, I will look for it, and if I am fortunate enough to find it, I will let you know. I don't hold out much hope of finding the one about the stuffed animals not loving me, but I can probably locate the other one. It really helped me to realize this is all just lifeless, powerless stuff that I can control. BTW, How do I contact you, when I find the info?

Thanks for the reassurance about the mice!
Another worst....feeling like a failure, even though I'm a good wife, Mom, employeed. But feeling like a failure, because I couldn't get my house decently clean.
Best...joining Squalor Survivors, and now Stepping out of Squalor, and seeing so many fabulous people who live in squalor but are not failures. I realized that it was just a mess, and whether it stayed or left, I was ok. I was not a failure. I am separate from the mess, and it does not define me. That is such a good feeling.
