Christmas is nearly here, which means things will be moving in. To prepare the nest for this influx some stuff is just going to have to go. How about listing here the one thing you can the most live without? Mine is...the 'spare' printer, now stacked in the Room of Doom.

Hey, I said ONE thing. The idea was to set up a challenge to get rid of the thing you nominated. And shelby , you CAN"T nominate your DH.

There are lots of things we can live without. I already have 4 boxes of stuff that's ready to go. We recently Freecycled one of our extra stand-up fans and I am very proud of that.
We decided that because of money and clutter, not to buy any material things this year for Christmas. It's a relief.

It would be easier to name the things I'd want to keep ... and it would take a few weeks shorter to type out. Seriously, I don't know why I have such a problem getting rid of things. I've have listed - and deleted - a Littermaid electric cat box on craigslist a dozen times.

I looked in one of the boxes and it is going to the safenest box on my way to work! So it is going into my trunk. One box out. I will go through the others this weekend. I have a feeling it will be a big drop to the box on Monday. Thanks for the challenge.

I am beginning to think I can live without all the hand-me-down fancy linen, lace & embroidered tablecloths from Mom & Granny. NONE of them fit my table. I can't stand to iron anymore (hard on my hands). I bought some French cotton that if washed & dried correctly DO NOT NEED IRONING.
I am getting ready to put these old cloths away, and maybe give some away. DH likes the formal look, but H*LL's BELLS, some of these cloths are 60 years old, stained, worn in places, and very very tired looking.

HI script, Do you want to list them on ebay? someone who collects old linens might want them.Oh dear, i just thought, that would be adding to some one else's clutter. Hmmm, maybe not, maybe someone wants the old lacy, frilly look in their house! The modern machine embroidered stuff is so horrible. But I couldn't be bothered with all that starchin' and ironin'. I am sure there are collectors of this stuff out there.
