We were looking forward to a quiet week off for Thanksgiving. Wednesday of last week my MIL had a regular doctor's appointment. She had mowed her yard on Tuesday and drove herself to her appointment on Wednesday and died in the hospital after they coded her twice on Sunday. The doctor had literally declared her dead and the techs were cleaning up the room and unhooking her from the monitor when unbelieveably the monitor picked up her heart beat again and they had to go through another code. We arrived to a doctor with sweat streaming down his face and a very kind nurse in tears. My MIL was 85 years old tough as hell and greatly admired. So this week we have been doing a memorial service and arranging for a cremation. My son in the meantime had been on leave from the Marines had had to leave to go to his new duty station. We were hoping for a little respite after Hurricane Ike. We were planing on getting our house ready to sell so we could get it on the market and hopefully sold so we could get another one. My MIL was a pretty much reformed squaloree. But she shoved everything into the closets and cabinets and things looked clean. So I have another house to clean up. Things have got to get better!

Oh God, Oh, God. "Love is as strong as death." "Many waters cannot quench love." Iguana, take a breath. put one foot in front of the other. let out the breath. and then, repeat. You will come to the other side of this. you will.

I am sorry for your loss. She sounded like she was really quite a remarkable lady. And Good Luck to you and your Son as he Enters the Marines!
