Hi all, welcome to the Short List thread.
Work however you wish, use whatever form you wish, socialize or encourage others if you wish, or just concentrate on your own work... BUT...
There is a rule. Only short lists allowed - no more than 5 (or 6) items listed in a post.
I really find modest action lists helpful, but when I see really long lists, they just freak me out. They make me feel overwhelmed. They make me think of all the things that I really still have to do. They obviously are helpful to others, but not to me. And after many years on this earth, I know if I feel a certain way about something, so will some others.
I'll probably work in the form of WIT (Working in Threes), but you can do whatever works for you.
So, let's see if this works.
Everyone is welcome.

I had a few extra minutes before bed, so...
-emptied a laundry basket that had been sitting there forever - and with just junk inside -took down and folded some dry towels -brought some clean sheets into the bedroom
To do: -cut up an old towel into dish cloths. -go to bed.

I have most of today, Saturday, to get things done.
Thus far: -gathered dishes from around the house and took to sink -looked at areas of the house deciding where to work
To do: -bring into the house the large recycling cart -gather empty boxes and flatten -declutter kitchen floor

'Short List' thread

I really find modest action lists helpful, but when I see really long lists, they just freak me out. They make me feel overwhelmed. I am appreciative and grateful for this concept for this thread!

Clearing the small table went pretty fast. Most was either trash or recycling. I am left with a small pile of things to put away - still on the table. But it is good to be able to see most of the wood. -mostly cleared the small table -put on chicken to cook -made phone call, which turned out to be easy

Went through yesterday's mail. Found reimbursement claim form in the mail. Filled out form. Scanned myself a copy. Addressed envelope. Looked up postage. Found stamps. Put form in envelope and affixed stamps.
That took one hour and 15 minutes. Glad it's done.

I'm working on listening to a recorded meeting and attempting to type up meeting minutes. This is a time-sensitive matter on my to-do list.
So far I've spent more than an hour on this. It's time-consuming but needed.
Off-topic from desqualoring ... but it's on my to-do list.
