Just wondering how many of us have two or more "types".... or if more people have "hidden" squalor with a look of "perfection" on the outside?

Household would about 2&1/2. Stuff is clean but not put away. The support worker who helps me clean has been heaven's gift to us. My finances would be 2 only my late tax returns make it 3. Body, well i am clean but I am overweight and not fit and am not trying to eat healthily. So a 2? other. 4, depressed, sad for DH and me, isolated, lethargic, spiritually bereft, can't get out of bed on a Sunday morning to go to church, stopped writing. But I can still laugh sometimes. And my dogs love me.

Health, financial, household. My house is not filthy or unhealthy, just cluttered up. Hard to walk around. There's a vacuum laying out in the dining room, that's dangerous for DH who uses a cane. He'll trip and yell. I should put it away. I finally got my 2007 taxes filed and squared away the end of September. It felt good. But now Christmas is approaching and I'll be using the credit cards to buy gifts. Groan!

Household, body & financial. Household - my ongoing struggle, hence my presence here at SOS. Body - working on this one, 25 lbs down and 50 more to go. Financial - my financial squalor is credit card debt. Still paying for a lot of the things that I'm decluttering now. We're doing the Dave Ramsey plan and slowly plugging away at it, I can't wait to be debt free.

Household - My house is a total wreck most of the time. The only time it's clean is when my parents come into town, and that's every couple months :\ Financial - We are really struggling right now. We had serious credit card issues, so we canceled ALL of them, so all we have is the money we make, which is how it should be, but with prices nowadays, and now paying off the credit cards we ran up...it's so hard. We did finish christmas shopping last month, just to ensure that our 5 year old doesn't feel the affects of our money issues, but this month we're probably going to have to go to my MIL for help with the car payment, which i HATE doing!!!! My hubby is doing his absolute best to dig us out...he worked 19 hours the day after thanksgiving to try and get us some extra money for bills. What is the Dave Ramsey plan?

Household, of course, but getting it under control. Body, also getting that under control the more my house is getting under control. Down 25 pounds so far, 133 left. Financial, getting better as the house gets better, but still living paycheck to paycheck with nothing extra for emergencies.

Household: Lots of clutter (and I really thought I was living like I wanted to). Can't believe what I've tossed so far. Kitchen, Dining Room, Bathroom, Our Bedroom are NOW clutter free. That leaves the Living room, and the Grandkids Room!
Body: This is a tough one. I have really let this go... I guess I need to learn to appreciate myself more.

My squalor is; Household, (getting better,) financial (also getting better,) Body; overweight and arthritic. Makes it hard to do all that I need to. I need to lose about 80 lbs. The 4th is car squalor, which is 95% better than it used to be. Focusing on the positives, I'm proud of myself. I have improved in every area except my weight. 3G

At the current time, I have NO home squalor, except for ongoing settling construction dust (it appears magically overnight, and will probably plague me for several more months). However, I have other on-the-go squalor issues: - dental: another round of teeth work for January. I have spent OVER $20,000 in the last four years, and am still racked with pain at night
- financial: a very long story that has nothing to do with MY work and lifestyle choices, but a family issues which has come back to bite ME in the ***
- mental health: still battling depression
- I cannot get my fibromyalgia pain under control: been going downhill since Apri'08
- weight: goes up weekly; tooooo many sweets (self-medicating)
I am hoping and praying for a healthier new year.

Household and other. Right now my place is getting cluttered again (not quite a Level 1), and the "other" is for my van...still has some things in it that need to be tossed. But at least you can see the floorboards!

Definitely household, but I know it will get better now that I've found you all. Financial, also, but I'm putting myself on a budget in January, I'm getting psyched up for it. My income should be enough to support me, but I've gotten some credit card debt this last couple of years and I need to get that taken care of. Oh, and I could stand to lose 50 pounds! I never really considered this before, but I'm beginning to think I have some depression issues......

My household clutter/hoarding is hidden (closets, shed, etc..) but getting much better especially lately. Animal hoarding (fish) is getting better too....I have recently taken down two tanks - sold the fish- and that's pretty good for me. I plan on taking down one more tank too. I am overweight by 40lbs but I don't consider that body squalor as I am clean, my clothes are clean and generally speaking I am in excellent physical shape/health. You would not believe how strong I am now. My arms alone make me look like I've been working out. If I could just get rid of this belly I'd have it made! Emotionally I have some depression from time to time but I think this is pretty normal now that I'm menopausal (sp?) so....health wise I think I'm good now. Financially we are good, only the one credit card which isn't too bad and we have no trouble paying bills on time, income tax on time, etc...but we have no emergency fund, no cash stashed somewhere. We have never been able to hold onto "extra" money and I don't suppose that will change anytime soon....
