Good Day farandaway and missjeanI'm up, Reviewed some options for my next few courses for my degree completion program. Sometimes I feel like I'm closer to being done than I am. It takes a while to complete all of these courses when you are working full time and taking them one at a time! Ate a healthy breakfast Started a load of laundry to-do: Declutter the kitchen Yardwork Continue with the laundry I'd like to go to the local greenhouse and see their poinsettia show. (It's pretty amazing for a little small, rural greenhouse. Thousands of people walk through, and they give away free hot dogs, home made sauerkraut, and homemade hot dog relish, and other treats.)

Ally, it's great that you're keeping at it. It took me more than three years to finish a two-year certification, but the benefits of working and paying-as-I-went outweighed the hassle. I hope you enjoy the poinsettia show. It sounds very nice. WTG on cleaning the cooler and reloading the van, mouseanne.
TA-DAH 1. dressed for the day 2. Post office 3. Picked up new LED lights - and got a surprise discount! which I immediately spent at the grocery store on the way home. As an aside, I'm noticing that it's hard to stay within my food budget lately.
TO DO Still grading and.... 1. Prep veggies for the week 2. Put away dry dishes 3. Put recycling in bin in shed

Ta-da's: I did a little laundry Picked up a few odds and ends and tossed them Ate a pomegranate that was beginning to look like it needed to be eaten! It was HUGE and I ate the whole thing! Took a shower and then scrubbed the shower stall. I don't do this as often as I should. Took a break and went to the local greenhouse with the poinsettia show. It wasn't quite as impressive as other years, but maybe it was just me. I'm sure that they put a lot of work into it! I bought 2 small herb planters. One to keep and one to give to DD. I also bought a small decorative Pennsylvania Dutch folk-art style print to give to DD for Christmas. It was done by someone we know, and I think DD will appreciate it. To-do: See if I can figure out how to fix the swivel-hook/window situation. I need to climb up a ladder against the side of the house for this project. Clean up the kitchen some more. I plan to do some baking in the next couple of weeks and it would be nice to have cleared off surfaces to work on. Lately, I've been pulling a large cutting board over the sink to use as a work surface. More laundry and tidying up

Mostly fixed the bird feeder situation. It's not ideal, but It's probably as good as it's gonna get. I need to put in one more screw. Somehow I lost one with all of the moving things around. Dinner is in the crock-pot, The chickens are in for the night. (no eggs today) Put a dressing on DH's hand. He was supposed to go get the stitches out over a week ago. I know that one time he did something he wasn't supposed to (but he denies it) and I can see that those stitches ripped partially through the skin, and now the skin is growing in around them.
to-do: Some more clean-up in the kitchen Put some laundry away. Maybe cut out some pieces for some star ornaments.

Greetings, all. Ally, your Working In Trees slip is actually just right for me, as I spent Sunday pruning my wild, overgrown garden. The place still looks like Sleeping Beauty's forest, but at least I can get to my back gate without being thwacked by hibiscus fronds.
I've been away from WIT for a while and I fear I have backslid. I need to get going again and get out of this bottleneck. Can't believe I've now been digging myself out for almost three years. A more orderly person would have finished in a matter of weeks. I have energy, but no order.
Please, everyone, give me A BIG KICK UP THE BUM!
TA DA (and these modest accomplishments are a week's worth)
Cleared out arts and crafts cupboard and donated a big box of items to my daughter's after-school club Pruned backyard trees and filled the green waste bin to the brim Repotted a root bound tecoma vine and attached a wire so that it may climb and eventually cover the pergola.
TO DO ( but I need that KICK UP THE BUM first, because I feel like useless crap today)
Go to library to print out my new work contract, sign it and post it back. I've been slacking on this for a week. Do my mileage claim forms. Take old filing cabinet to the recycling depot so that I will, at last, be able to walk down the hall without turning myself into a wafer.

Over lunch:
deboned turkey. Put discard bits in crock with water to boil for broth. Will either freeze or can.
I meant to do this Sunday, as was supposed to be 50*. Pulled the garden hose over the porch rail (all the way) to drain. Coiled & brought inside. In the middle of kitchen floor, will move it to basement.
Watered 2 porch plants that are fighting the cold with newly emerging leaf buds. Will H2O2 treat the soil for bugs & bring inside. See what they do for my winter-house.
