We got back home on Sunday evening, so yesterday was spent unpacking,moseying and starting laundry, but there's plenty more to do. Got back to heavy frosts, on top of frosts and hoar frosts. And now we have snow on top of that, which has frozen. As always the main road, I can see from here, is clear, but our road hasn't been cleared or salted, and the lane between here and the town is never done. Dh says it's pretty much ice all the way, and I don't drive in that. So, no dancing for dd tonight, and guess ds will miss running tomorrow too  Got Rover back from the cattery yesterday. Combination of being home and snow I think and he was in and out for tiny bursts all day yesterday. He only finally gave in and slept later in the afternoon and all evening, so he didn't go out. This resulted in him using his tray last night, something only normally reserved for when the vet bans him from going out, and tbh he usually wins re going out then anyway. On the other hand he is a meticulous burier, but the ground is frozen solid, so he may have chosen not to try that outside! Whole house is cold. Dh set the heating to low, and back higher only on the day we got home which probably wasn't enough. The renovations mean we are one radiator down on the top floor. So ds's room is super cold, and the cold is filtering down, the sitting room and dining room are always pretty cold without the stoves been lit, so the cold is filtering up - so now all 3 floors are chilly... We are short on fire wood, so I can't even keep the stoves burning to get everywhere warmed up. Don't have a plan there tbh. Done: Cat litter. Coming up next: Breakfast stuff away. Empty dishwasher. Refill dishwasher. Recycling. Put food brought back from England away, not much, the car was too full! Shower and get dressed. Clear snow and salt paths. Tumble dry wet washing. Apparently they are out salting the roads, including the main one out of the village which is almost never done. Not sure when they'll get to us though. Non-coffee time. Have almost run out, and neither of the supermarkets I went to yesterday, pre-snow, sell it. I forgot to get fire lighters either, oops. Done: Cat litter. Shower and get dressed. lesaulerouge Happy Happy New Year, I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Holiday!!!! Good Work you are really knocking out the TADA's. Sorry about  the heat, I hope it will warm up for you. Be safe from the snow covered roads. We are supposed to get snow this weekend, but I will believe it when I see it. We get maybe one snowfall a year. The day has gone well, it is the first day back to work after Christmas Holiday. I have to stay focused and really hammer out these Work TODO's (get them off my list). TADA

Well the books just got dumped rather than out away, but as I still cannot think where to put them... I did take dd to dancing, and did grocery shopping g while she was there.
