Has a busy day.
Had to lead a meeting at work on a big project. Was pretty beat after that but had another meeting on a diff project right after. Then it was almost time to go home when all this last minute stuff came in about a meeting tomorrow morning. My brain was tired! I am maintaining my decision not to freak out. This week's crisis won't even be remembered next week. Not worth my time to get all worked up.
Left work and picked up dd. this is a super busy day for her do I did worry about that. Got her home. Cooked dinner. Fed cats. Dealt w mail. Did dishes
Took dd to an activity
Came home and worked for a little over an hour on the consignment sale. Yay. Need to do this Also put a load of laundry in washer and then dryer
Left to pick up dd. came home Cleaned litter Folded laundry and put it away.
Done!
Diane you seemed to have really accomplished lot today.
Pamela did the boys like dinner
Chris we want to see beauty and the beast
Jendela u mean a neighbor dragged a dish washer to your yard???

Magda, I don't know how you handle all those meetings. And I don't know how a company can get work done if all they do is sit in meetings! But it must work, otherwise you would have been out of business by now...so kudos to you for being able to do it. I just have to medicate and feed the cats and I'll be done. See you all tomorrow! Hi magda - someone dumped it on the nature strip out the front of our house - over here the nature strip is a small strip of lawn between the footpath and the road, owned by the council but expected to be maintained by the homeowner. I believe it was dumped by someone who lives in a block of rental units that lives nearby - up until recently these units always had a pile of dumped household goods on their own nature strip, but that has changed recently, so I wonder if the renters have been warned about dumping and now they are just shifting stuff a bit further up the street? Unfortunately it is cheaper and easier for them to dump stuff nearby than take it to the recycle station. And they just assume the house owner will ring the council to have the rubbish removed. Anyway, I can't let it bother me, although I felt really flat on Monday morning when I found it had appeared overnight.
Finished up a relatively productive day, including DH & I took an old computer monitor for recycling, so that is out of the hall. Found $20 in the washing machine - I guess DH will check his shirt pockets from now on! Made curry for tea.
Next up - make Sleepytime tea and ensure the kitchen is 'cat proof', then off to bed.

shellsncheese..so sorry to read this.....thinking of you.............. I had time to kill between work and my aunt's band concert. 3 1/2 hrs exactly. NEVER wander the goodwill or the mall when killing time. Or when you don't need anything (except jeans for your son). You will find everything except jeans!! I am busy tonight, tomorrow night and Saturday so I will be squeezing things in when I can.

Good morning! I woke up a bit later than usual this morning and I have to leave earlier for work, so I don't have much time, I'm just aiming to finish my usual morning routine before leaving. Today will be another day in which I will feel lucky if I can maintain where I am. Scoop litter pans Make bed Pigeon care Eat breakfast Diane

magda, the boys didn't even try dinner. I knew T wouldn't. It only had one thing he liked and several things he doesn't. G doesn't like food that is mixed-up. He's more a meat, side dish, veggie kind of guy. Casseroles just look "ew" to him. We now have a ton of leftovers. DH and I had burritos this morning with the skillet as a filling. It was pretty good. shellsncheese, I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a beloved pet is so sad. I ended up not showering last night. I don't like showering while the boys are still awake, and they took awhile to fall asleep. I could barely stay awake while they were falling asleep. I also didn't get the dinner dishes to the dw. I hope this isn't a sign that it's starting to fall apart again. Probably not. Hopefully. Done: Breakfast for boys T ready and off to school Breakfast for grown-ups Took meds Load/run dw Next up: Clean off/wipe down surfaces Sweep kitchen Update inventory Come up with menu Shopping list

I don't know what to do with the menu thing. Thanks to the fact that the boys almost never eat anything I make, we have enough leftovers for a week's worth of dinners. Maybe more. I hardly ever eat lunch, so they're not likely to get eaten during the day. So, I could just not have a menu next week and let the boys have whatever they want. Hubs and I could eat the leftovers all week. However, if I do that, I may not get back to cooking every day. It's so easy for me to lose motivation. I could just leave the food in the fridge and try to eat it for lunches, but then I would generate still more leftovers next week. I think we're out of storage containers, and we're pretty close to out of fridge space. Third option is just to dump the leftovers, but that's just such a waste of money and food. That's just wrong. I have no clue what to do.
Anyway, next up: Tidy living room Tidy master room Tidy bathrooms Tidy desk

Hi Diane and ohblondie and jendela and Pamela and any one else that joins today Pamela I was blessed in that dd is an easy eater. I never had to prepare special food for her. I guess you could make less food in the first place if u have too many leftovers? Do u cook special meals for the boys? Maybe an incentive is a sticker chart for each time they try a spoonful of the "yucky" stuff. Maybe they'll discover it is ok after all Jendela is the council the town or the landlord or the neighborhood association ? I have seen references to councils in this site and never know for sure the role. Diane we do have too many meetings!!! About half for me are a waste of time. Well maybe five minutes are valuable. My company is big on decentralization and consensus building. So that means lots of meetings. Some are good. One I had yesterday I needed the input of the team cuz we will be doing the work. The real time wasters are when we have to do presentations and updates to groups who have no role in implementation. So they love to give ideas and know they wont have to implement them !!! Yesterday I was really tired as I basically worked from the moment I got up until i went to bed either at my job or cooking or cleaning. No break Today I might have the same type of day as dishes and litter can't be put off and I think we need some laundry and I have to crank on my consignment. I have an amount I'd like ready for sale and I still have 3/4 to go. I did start early but lost steam. So now a rush of sorts This morning I got up and ready for work and fed cats and got dd and me out the door. Dropped her off at school. Had a work meeting first thing (a necessary one). I am mostly free to work rest of the day. I dropped off some kid clothes to donate this morning. If I have even the slightest thought I should donate something, I am grabbing that thought and getting the item to a donation bin pronto!

Magda, I'm planning on doing a sticker chart of some sort soon. There are a lot of behaviors I'd like to correct and some I'd like to encourage. I just haven't done the actual doing it part. Partly because I don't have a printer. I should try to hit the library tomorrow and print one out. Anyway, that would be a good thing to put on the chart. Thanks for the suggestion.
Done: Non-kitchen tidying Bathrooms with G's help Put down new rug
