My cat had peed all over the cushion on the papasan chair of my roommates. Finally got over to the store that sells the blasted expensive things and bought him a replacement, told him that he should keep the chair in his room though or get a hook for the wall, as one replacement is fair, after that- well, he has been warned not to leave it out. Not getting another.
At least the living room now smells drastically less like cat pee (that was the only thing in the house she had gotten I could not wash or toss instantly).
Been sick for a week solid now, not happy in the least. Things have not backslid as badly as they could all considered, but i really just want to be well, on less than 10 different drugs, and have some energy to dedicate to getting things moved further along. My closet has gone back from the pretty clean thing in the photos to barely being able to open the door. (Although everything else is much slower to slid backwards)
Worried about christmas and all the things i have to buy (although they will be given away) and the fact everyone wants to buy me things. I appreciate it, but ...really i wish they'd all just give me money and send me on a vacation. ... (or take me out for a night or...take me somewhere, or...i dont know. something like that. i'm grateful, very much so for the fact they think of me. I wish thought != stuff!)

Hugs. Hope you feel better soon. You will get it back under control as soon as you are better.

Stressed - tell people what you want for Christmas! People giving the gifts are probably getting stress about things too and my appreciate you being direct with them.
Christmas is madness and it has got to stop!!!!!

My daughter sent me a message that my mom would appreciate gift cards to her favorite restruants for Christmas. This way she can go out or treat friends and family, but not have to use her money. She loves to go out and she doesn't need any "stuff" at her age. Maybe you can ask people to give you gift cards or items you do need. I always tell my children to get me toilet paper, my favorite shampoo, toothpaste and other items that will get used up and not add to my problem.

I work at our local library, and we have to charge for our books, some people give their parents gift vouchers so they can get books all year long. Louise

I'm going to put up a list for family/close friends so they know that this year i would happily take a gift card to my fav restaurants, or my fav spa (mm, haven't gone in months n months to save money....). I truly believe that with gift-giving and receiving, HONESTY is really the best policy. Most people TODAY are stressed-up-to-the-eyeballs, and looking for the perfect gift for anyone is sooooooo ghastly. My family loves gift certificates and cold hard cash (no, make that warm, friendly soft and cuddly $$$$ cash $$$$$$$: any denomination). We even give each other gift cards for our best local Drug Mart because theses stores also carry toiletries, food, treats, chocolates, books, magazines and FUN STUFF (not just bandaids and toothpaste and asprin).
