Hello You've taken a great first step by posting here. You can't change until you admit to yourself that you need to make a change. Is there anything in particular that is stressing you out? I'd be willing to bet that whatever it is, someone here has tackled it before. Or is it just the overall overwhelmingness of it all? That's a feeling that I know well. You'll find plenty of advice here about how to break things down into manageable tasks.

@afishcalledwanda Welcome! I saw your comment and had to chime in! You've accomplished the hardest part - just joining this wonderful group. Your post reminded me of how I felt when I first joined SOOS. I just felt silly and inadequate - and very, very desperate for help. I couldn't even think of a name - so I chose my two favorite things - purple and angels. There are several things that truly helped me when I joined last year (I can't believe it's been a year!). Baby steps and Just Do It. My fav example of baby steps: I used to say, "I will clean the kitchen," but then I'd bog down on small parts like the stove top. So now I Write concrete, baby steps such as "wipe flat surfaces, sweep, wash and dry dishes." This has made such a difference for me. Also, there are very few times that I FEEL like doing housework. If I wait for that magical enthusiasm, this house will never change. Now, I make my list in my blog and just do it. I know what needs to be done - baby steps. And, no matter WHAT my brain says (such as "i'm too tired" or "this isn't fair that I have to clean"), I STILL do what needs to be done. I complain and swear every step of the way sometimes, but I still do the work. And, it's made a big difference in my home. Keep posting. Write your own blog. Read other blogs. hollyhock has many detailed plans and ideas. There are work-along blogs, too. And chat if you can join it. Just Start - anywhere. You CAN do it.
