...and hoping nobody sees what site I'm on. I'm a 41yo bipolar single mom, and I've lived in squalor most of my adult life. I don't want to live like this anymore.

Welcome, Gaia !
You have made the choice, and the reality will follow, one step at a time.
Sometimes it will seem like pulling teeth to keep going.
Sometimes you will feel like it is 2 steps forward, 3 steps back.
Sometimes you might want to give up.
Hold on to the choice you have made, and try to do something every day to honor that choice.
Read, ask questions if you want, find ideas to impliment, post if you feel able. We are here.

Gaia, Hello and Welcome! I'm new here, too. And even though I've only been on the forum for a little while, it has been helpful for me already. Hope it will be for you, too.

Welcome, Gaia. I know that we have some members who post from the library, so you are not the only one without computer access at home. I'm so happy that you found us. Please keep reading, even if you can't post often. You will find the encouragement and tips to be able to make a positive change.

Welcome. I have checked in here from work, too. I am always a little wary of who can see what I am doing. You can do it. It may be rough going, but the end result is so worth it! I am on an ongoing safari through my squalor. One day I will be done and it will be beautiful. I have to "see" it in my mind's eye. One small step at a time and we will get there!

I am new too, although I do not face all the challenges you do. Keep remembering to not let squalor define you. You are more than that. (Or is it less? As in more basic-child of god and all that). I will try to keep remembering for myself. Good Luck, Grasshopper
