DH scooped yesterday (he rarely does so, thus I expressed gratitude).
I shall scoop today.
We also need to buy more litter.

Missed a few days but caught up today so I have a temporarily clean litter box.
Well done on the scooping ClimbingPyramids!

i scooped yesterday, sad because next week I give up my cat Ginger. My brother and his family are coming to live with me and there are cat allergies to deal with. So the house will be getting a thorough clean and Ginger will go to a sanctuary. I'm grateful that there a safe pjace to take her. It could be worse.

That breaks my heart for ginger. Are you sure it would not work out for her? That is just so sad for her

Thank you magda for thinking about Ginger. I'm grateful that the sanctuary is no kill and seems to have high standards for animal health. The surrender fee is pretty high (at least it seems so to me) so I'm hoping that's a reflection of the level of care.
I scooped today.

I scooped today. I made the appointment to surrender Ginger this morning. So I plan to enjoy and appreciate her company as much as possible before Wednesday afternoon. Involving lots of treats and catnip to assuage my guilt and let her know that I love her.

Are you sure that is the only option? Are the allergies untreatable or that bad? This just breaks my heart for what Ginger will go through and her outcome.

I'm really wishing I'd never looked at this thread.

Bumping this as the awesome folks in my introduction thread pointed me here. I have soooo much trouble scooping on a regular basis. I don't know why. I always tell myself I'm going to do it and then it gets so out of control. I hope this thread can become active again but I'm going to post my updates as much as I can.
Question - when you guys scoop, do you seal and throw out the bag each time? Or just put in in a covered trash bin and wait till it gets full and then take it out. I prefer the former option but then that is also a lot of bags to use for such a small amount each scoop.
thanks!

hi derbylee im glad you bumped this. Im struggling with the daily litter cleaning too. I hope this thread will be active again too (which means i need to do it). I cant answer your question about the scooping. I dont use scoopable litter. I going to go change my cat litter now.
