I took all of my STUFFED ANIMAL frogs on display in my living room and stuck them in an open cardboard box on Monday evening and set the box on the back of my loveseat by the door. They just sat there until Friday morning(today), and I grabbed the box and rushed to the trash and dumped them....I never missed them in the box. Soooooooo this is the way I'm going to do the things that I think I want. If I want it, then I can get it. But if it's just sitting in the box for 4 days.........forget! I also dumped the two coated wired rack hangers that I put all over the house from time to time and they really didn't work for anything just to show the clutter I had. Now I go around and see what I can get rid of easily. I tossed two candles out and a glass kitty cat candle holder. :PI'd give them away except if Hubby knew I was giving or dumping my things, he would throw a fit. I am keeping my two pressure cookers-I can't part with them.

Way to go Clearwatert! What a great idea. I box things up, too. But I keep it around for a month. If I miss it or actually need it then I can get it back out. But if not out it goes. 4 days might be a much faster solution.

Ok, I have the grandkids things out in the living room I'm trashing in the bin tomorro morning. I was taking the baby bed mattress(like new from under their big bed) to the lean too out back to save when the neighbor lady was walking to her mail box. "you don't need a new crib mattress do you?" I yelled. She looked at me and said "Wait a minute I'll ask my oldest son!" He came out and took it and said thanks.
I took out two queen air mattresses we had aquired from when the renters moved out and left whatever under their bed also-; a large box of out grown toys and some I couldn't stand(they'll never miss them),; ten pieces of my clothing from their closet; goes. I think I'm getting better getting rid of stuff. I swear the house is starting to echo! Have to get back to wrapping packages...

Even though it still makes my heart beat faster and I feel anxious to hear you are tossing good stuff, You are doing the right thing. Sometimes stuff just needs to be OUT! Good on you. Don't tell your husband, and for sure don't worry about the extra pressure cooker. If it helps you to hang on to one thing, maybe the rest will get easier to let go of. 4 days is not a long time, I do the same system but wait a year! I will try to be more liek you!

My hubby went into the bathroom to do his "morning" and it took me less than 20 seconds to dump the above items in the bin. Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement.
