I'm a 3rd generation clutterer. Mom was a clutterer. Grandma used to use sheets to cover the clutter. My aunt did that too. I did that for awhile, but don't anymore. Mom doesn't remember her grandparents as having any clutter.

So I washed off the milk dribble after reading arid's post. It came right back the next day. We use milk in coffee instead of creamer, and maybe we just need to learn to pour better? I'm also considering getting a wash cloth to put on the top shelf to have as a dedicated "milk place" as (indirectly) suggested. Hmm...
I really don't see myself as someone who wipes in the fridge daily. Dishes, laundry, counters, toys, trash etc I can do daily....but wiping in the fridge every day? I don't think I'll ever be able to stick to doing something like that. Actually, I'll go get a washcloth and do that now.
Thanks for the suggestions, guys!

Good for you, wind! You are carrying out one of my favorite mantras: Expect it, accept it, deal with it, and get on with it. You expect the milk to drip after you have poured from the container; you've accepted the fact that "drips happen"; you've put a washcloth in your refrigerator to catch the drips; and you are moving on with your life! I deal with it by wiping off the outside of the milk jug with a paper towel whenever I have a drip (which I'll admit doesn't happen often; I used to work in a laboratory, so I really DO pour better than most people! !!! I used to pour without EVER spilling a single drop. After 20+ years out of the lab, however, I've gotten a little "sloppier."). Since you don't like the idea of having to wipe off yet one more thing (and I can understand that--really!!), trying the washcloth is a great idea. I hope that this works well for you. Arid
