Good morning, Friends (or your local time.) We have a couple coming-friends of 25 years standing, more for my husband. They know we live in a tip, so it doesn't have to be perfect, but, y'all I'm starting from a really bad place. My house is so trashed that I cannot even find my spray cleaner! Haven't seen it in a week. I've been wiping things down with Pine-Sol on a hot rag. I run a business out of our living room. I've moved all my potpourri and petals to another room (dash & stash), but still need to move the oils. I have a horrible table clutter problem in there, and the couches have crap on them, too. Husband is cooking the non-traditional dinner (I hate turkey) and for that I am grateful. It's just still awful in here. Friends have a new house after having a house fire, so they don't have clutter yet, and their furniture is all newly ordered exactly as they wanted. I decorate with old stuff exclusively so I'm not jealous. It's just that I have too much stuff and just nowhere left to put it all. Again, they've known us forever, so they are forgiving. Whew. meds bed clean off kitchen table. sweep bathroom scrub sink scrub toilet and wipe down outside mop (I hate mopping with the white hot hatred of 10,000 suns hang the ten million jackets and coats put away superfluous shoes wash my bathmat because bratty dachshund peed it. scoop ill-mannered cat's box keep up with husband's empties and pots and such as he cooks recycling outside dragged trash can through 17" of snow make sure all 5 dogs have clean towels, pillows, and blankets because the ill mannered cat likes to pee in them put things to go to charity shop in car put emergency blankets and snow shoes in each of our cars take out recycling for the 10,000th time Still haven't found the spray cleaner I have thrown several of my husband's things because he leaves crap everywhere which results in my having to wash them again (piles clean coats on his shoe rack where he inexplicably leaves the dirty side up. Also, his coats live just everywhere, meanwhile I have no hangers because they're all in his coat closet empty. Have broken down in tears. He burned the *** chicken he simply had to bake. There is literally nowhere in this house where I can be alone with my friend, and I'm manned out. ETA: house became acceptable via dash and stash, so now I have a clean bathroom, kitchen table, and sofas. Dinner was successful, and I have the first load of dishes running.

Good Morning! If you are in the US - I hope you survived or are surviving the holiday - if you are elsewhere - just hope you are surviving! Going to work on my holiday decorations on this long weekend so need to do some minor prep first: 1) get cleaned up 2) Put everything back from the holiday meal - I FORCED MYSELF (and DH) to get the dishes 95% done last night. It would have been a nightmare to wake up to all that. 3) laundry 4) start the "organized" stash/dash in the office. I want to put holiday decor in there so need a stash/dash to last me until mid- January.

Hi WITty peeps. Happy Friday. Hope those that celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday had a nice one. I've noticed one of my big avoidance techniques is over-sleeping and I did do that. Sort of interspersed sleep with TV all night and then ultimately got up at 2:30. I've decided to let it go rather than beating self up and more anxiety. Today is a new day, even if it did start late. Ta-da: Stretching routine. Weighed in. Fed cats/fat cat meds. Logged food. Started clearing off computer area and gathering stuff for assignments.
To-do: Make another cup of coffee. Scoop. Wash dishes in right side of sink and wipe down counter. I guess it's "defending" the area I had cleaned other night. Drink water.
Break down writing assignments. This is the stickler. Overwhelmed by big assignments and procrastination etc. but..will do one thing: Re-read 2 journal articles, take notes. The reading is boring so typically I lose focus/concentration in middle and try to get into something else. Just gonna work through it.

Morning Witsers Woke up this morning to sunny weather, which I did not expect and a messy house, which I did. I probably should do something about the mess in the house but it's more likely I'll go outside and get some stuff done. The garden is doing fantastic but there is still a bit more I want to get done out there before I can just sit and watch it grow. Towels washed and hung hung out Next load in Breakfast etc Start mowing the lawn Hang out next load Couch blankets in to wash
