WELCOME TO SEPTEMBER WITing!
The guidelines for WIT are simple: - Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. ☝️ - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing. - Once you have 3 things done, post them here! - Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again. - You aren't required to do the 3 things you had planned on -- just get any 3 things done and then post proudly.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, or just need to break your tasks down into something manageable, you are in the right place! If the next 15 minutes consists of: - Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying 😢 - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away book 📚 - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash . . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE-DOM !!!
You could post: Ta-Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers Then your To-Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those 3 to-do's,or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM!

Hi, mylittlescholar . Thanks for doing this. I don't know how I missed it. Lots to do. Good news: up early. Bad news: it's because I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep. Strike while the iron is hot! Make important phone call; ask for clarification and appointment if necessary. Choose and order comforter. Take a walk in the morning.
Look up and send transportation info to friend. Look up hotels for her; send. Send list of my extra office supplies to friend so she can choose some for herself. Read through p. 86. Read the rest of the book. Select the discussion questions and decide on the opening.

Isn't it beautiful, goldenthreads ? It's an island that I kayaked to and camped on this summer. This was the view from one of the campsites. It reminds me a little of the Boundary Waters between Minnesota and Ontario; I canoed and camped there a few years ago, and it was special. Some challenging portaging was involved. There--this has been a WIT-sponsored three-sentence ta-da about lovely waters.

September already...Hope I make more progress this month. I want to get beyond routine to a backlog of clutter. At least the backlog is organized, just needs sorting and moving out to trash/donate. Had to lay low yesterday. Odd hip pain laid me low. Don't know what triggered it. I will followup with oncol since I am at risk for bone mets. The BDG method from 2008, decluttering/cleaning despite disability that has proven helpful to me. Routine:dishes, sweep, litter box, email, walk dog twice, chk watermeter, mailbox.finance research post office delivery problems empty living room rain water buckets, rescue lizard from bucket, keep watch after water leak repairs Prep for taking neighbor to doc appt tomorrow, then take him to get OTC insulin at Wmart. A lot miles. Routine:dishes, litter box, email, walk dog,chk watermeter, water leak watch, mailbox, finance Clear a couple of sewing shelves, temp storage for file folders/related

Thanks for getting September started, mylittlescholar! I'm just sort of dragging along here but mustering up some...willingness? energy? something Ta-da: Gave fat cat AM and PM meds. This is a win to get him back in the meds routine and find tactics that work. 4 days and counting... Um... To-do: Put on music. Put away clean dishes. Wash dishes in dishpan. Close up full trash bags; put in mudroom.

To-do: Take clean clothes in tote upstairs. Combine waste baskets and other trash in a garbage bag. Put fresh liners in wastebaskets.
