TT, you are up to 500!
Oh dear, scholar, I hope you get to keep your appointment!
By the way, SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Bound. I think the most important of those are specific and measurable, because a vague goal of "reducing my belongings" doesn't work. "Donating or discarding 5 books" tells us exactly what to do!
So after having trouble with the pharmacy website I called and ordered the dog's med refills first things Tuesday morning. They said it would take 3-5 days to arrive once shipped, and I figured they would ship within a couple of days so that should be okay. I realized today that I never got an email saying it shipped. So I called the phone number and chose the "check on an order" option. Then a recording said "to check on an order check the website or use chat." Than why is there a number to press on the phone to check on an order?? Once again I left my number for them to call back when it was my turn, and once again, when I finally got a human to talk to he was great. Turns out the order shipped yesterday, but I never got the email saying it shipped. Or any of the emails trying to get links to reset my password. Or the special email the first rep told me she would send that would arrive in 24-48 hours to change the password. I had this rep check the email address they had and it was correct, so I have no idea what's going on with that. But at least my order shipped.
And while I'm complaining...last time I went to the doctor he wanted to do a kidney function recheck which he was concerned about, and some kind of electrolyte check, and then wanted a urine sample. I said I would take a container home and bring the urine sample in later that week so I could collect it on a normal day, not one where I didn't drink any water that morning. He said fine. I brought the urine in 2 days later, not having heard anything about the blood tests yet. So the next day he calls and says "your urine sample was normal". I said, okay, what about the blood tests? He said "you had blood tests"? Yes. "Oh, I'll check and call you back." So yesterday, which was a week and a half after the first phone call he called as I was taking the dog out so I let it go to voice mail--the message was "your electrolyte results are normal." Nothing about the kidney function test, which was the whole reason for testing to begin with. So, what I will do is wait until next week when the holidays are over and call the office and ask them to fax my results to me. If the one reading that he was afraid would be too low really is low, I will call and ask what I should do.
I fed the dog at 4 and she wanted to go out, and it was drizzling again, so the mud was refreshed. Tomorrow I really must put mulch on the lawn. And I don't even remember any forecast of rain for today.
By the time I came back upstairs it was dusk and I heard the cardinal calling me from the porch to put seed out, so I did that, and as soon as I went back inside he came to eat it!
Hopefully I will get something else done before dinner.

Hi; I didn't post yesterday. I did read your posts , dear friends.
Between the 2 days, I ran the DW and unloaded it.
And washed laundry and folded it, etc. More is in washer now.
Went to store and bought veggie tray and other things. A get-together with my extended family---my DB's children. I will take veggies and dip.
Took a shower and washed my hair.
Talked very briefly with my BFF in CT.
My best to all. You all sound busy, for sure !

Good morning. TwinkleToes yesterday your posts were amazing. So much done! I’ve really got to try your 100 game. Hoping over the long weekend will be good time for me to try it. Your posts were very inspiring & supportive of everyone! mylittlescholar your posts are also inspirational. They remind me to “act younger & age is of the mind & doesn’t really matter “. You are a breath of fresh air. And, you’ve been getting lots done, socializing, etc. I hope you are feeling well. desposito I’m glad your dog was better, yesterday. Looks like everyone on this thread did well, yesterday. For those who are unwell, I hope you’re better, soon. Today is a new day! Yesterday: Long conference Phone call with accountant & DrBro, Sil, & DH - re: Mom. Went well. I took extra long lunch break & was in my car. Late last night, went thru a bunch of important papers that have been sitting in a box since when Covid started, here, & everything 1st got shut down. Scanned a lot of them. 1 into recycle bag 29 into “to be shred” bag. I’m hoping that the rest of these will start getting faster to get thru. I have about a quarter of the box left. And, I’m hoping that I don’t stumble on something that should have gotten done way back then & was very important. This box is not an easy one at all. I am very stressed by it & should have made myself do this way back then. I know… “Shoulda, Coulda, woulda…”. I’m hoping to do more on this either late this afternoon, late tomorrow night, Sunday, and/or Monday. After I’m finished with it, I will definitely be more at ease. Also, after it’s finished, I’ll share 1 last thing about it & you’ll understand why especially this particular box has been added stress for a long time & about some other things. For now tho, “Mums the word”. Have a great day, everyone! Cd

Good morning cando! It sounds like that box of paper is a big source of stress, you're tackling it the right way, small portions at a time so you don't get overwhelmed. Paper takes such a long time, it feels like you're not making progress, but every piece that you take care of is whittling the pile down.
I had hoped to get more paper done this year, I was sure I could get 2023 items for the 2023 thread just with paper, but will be way short. So now I have to decide if I keep going into next year on that thread--as I have said before, I like counting things so it was kind of fun.
I'm waiting for the dog's feeding and medication time to get started on a list, I was out of bed before 6 today because I woke up at 5 and couldn't fall back. But I still got 7 pretty good hours of sleep, so I should be happy with that. Before feeding the dog I will put bird seed out on the back porch.

Happy Friday! I just took puppy to daycare. She did her usual little dance when I said the magic word!
yesterday was a slow day. took puppy for walk in our park in the daylight! Earlier in the day, I drove DD to a doc appointment, then picked up girlcat's prescription, then went to pharmacy for DD's prescription and grocery store and returned bottles. It was an expensive animal day -- the Rx, litter, wet cat food, dry cat food, cat treats that are $$$ but very good to get girlcat to take her meds, wet dog food, dog treats, and marrow bones which are important to buy me an hour or more of peace!
Also yesterday, I had the gutters cleaned. It was a bit nerve wracking. I found the vendor on next door app and said I was interested, sent photos, a few days ago. yesterday I rec'd a text saying they were on the way. I said for an estimate? They gave me price over phone which was reasonable but when the person arrived, I asked are you insured and they said no. I was a nervous nellie! I went ahead with it but I hovered, and at one point I even held the ladder as it did not seem stable to me. It went off fine, the person was very polite, did a great job, cleaned up, but I would not hire an uninsured person again.
That took up a chunk.
Last night we decided to go for a drive to see Christmas lights. We drove to where our one percenters live, as there are some huge beautiful homes and spectacular displays. But it was so foggy that I could only see a little bit of the road! And it was raining, bad driving, so we left there and headed to a less foggy area and saw some nice lights. I drove past my childhood home too, they don't seem to celebrate Christmas at least visibly! maybe the tree is tucked by a back window.
It was trash pick up eve in the one percenter neighborhood and I noticed many of houses had extra bins. around here we typically have one big trash bin and one big recycling bin. In most towns we have to buy private trash pick up, only in nearby city is it a city service. anyway, I was surprised to see that many of the homes had 2-3 big trash bins. I guess it make sense, if you are rich, you have more stuff and more trash - of course it was Christmas so most people do have extra trash ....
today I hope to: do the loads of laundry of special setting stuff that get put aside a lot clean litter go with DD so she can use a gift cert at a specialty store and maybe go out to lunch
I would like to make the 2023 goal but that would be intensive! maybe paper
I'd also like to set up a true monthly budget
I have so enjoyed the time off. I am not rushing around doing a lot, just daily living, and I love it. yesterday I was like oh my it is 2 pm on a Thursday and I am grocery shopping! that is a gift to me! of course DD is here too, so that makes it all extra special

Good morning bree! That is fascinating about the large homes having more garbage bins--when you first say it it makes sense since the homes are larger, but when you think about it--the families are probably not larger, just the homes--so what is the extra garbage? I would hate to think that rich people buy more disposable things just because they can, and then get tired of them, and throw them away. And do this on such a regular basis that they need extra garbage cans! Interesting question--I would love to research it.
I called my decluttering client already so that is done.
TO DO:
10 minutes on paper 10 minutes PEEPing Restock water in fridge Delete 10 hard emails

Good morning everypony! thanks, reve !
thank you, cando ! our inner children are well taken care of here. I am impressed that you are tackling that challenging job.
so glad you are enjoying your vacay, bree ! hope you enjoy your get-together, catcats .
My region was an early adapter of offering recycling. they have gone in the opposite direction--three different recycling bins, (paper, glass and yard waste) but the landfill bin is tiny!
the housekeepers aren't coming until noon. I did not see this until I got up and had coffee. gonna go back to bed.
I thought I was going to do paperwork this week. I guess I will start when I have a bit more energy.
Last night I did some containerizing, but didn't put anything away.

HI Everyone!!! HI bree - I wish we had recycle pick up weekly. I have private trash pick up in our town. Standard we get one large can of trash picked up weekly and one large can of recycle picked up every other week. My recycle can was ready for pick up last week but I will need to be creative to add more too it until its regular pick up time. I can’t imagine what extra stuff the rich people toss in the trash though I do know m adopted niece and her husband order a larger dumpster every Summer and they and my friend (her Mother) fill it to the brim every year and still have tons of stuff for the next year. I have 4 days of vacation left and I am trying to make a bigger dent than what I have already. It is hard I was doing the dice roll yesterday and that did not help too much. Next up I am going to get the laundry going and then clean the fridge. Actually take each tray out and wash it and reorganize and slide it back in - also the drawers. - clean for the new year.

Well, my second test was positive. I am feeling pretty crappy. Runny nose, tight cough. And achy, mostly my head and teeth. Weird huh!
I had some food by my bed, including those ugly delicious cookies. cali got into them and ate them all. She is probably trying to be my conscious as I should not be eating so much mac-n-cheese and cookies. But it was my comfort food....
I have had some balance issues while so sick, I feel like a pinball heading down the hall to the bathroom. DH just brought me some soup. Cali is watching me like a hawk!
During the night she was trying to wake me. I was feeling so poorly I ignored her. She must have really had to go out as she had an accident in the bathroom. She so rarely has accidents so I can't tell at her.
I am watching a Matlock mini marathon right now. Not sure how long it will last. these are episodes I haven't seen before.
Hopefully some energy will come back soon. I am comforted by how much everyone is getting done!!
