Diane - last night DH wanted Chinese food. He offered to pay and I went to pick it up. Next door to the chinese place is a plant store. I peeled in the window and it was looking so run down and ragged. The plants in the window looked so unhealthy and the leaves were droopy and yellowing. There were brown dried up dead leaves and dust on all of the counter tops. So sad.
Today I left work early and sat with a friend's teenage daughter as she got a transfusion in the hospital. She gets them every couple of months. My friend had to run home and get her younger daughter so I filled in. We chatted a bit, I read, she was on her phone. AFter I left, I went to my mom's and helped put away her good outfit and her jewelry. They had a "formal" dinner last night and many residents got all dressed up. She got many compliments and I think it made her feel good. I then went to visit my dad for a bit. We sat and watched the news and I fed him some fruitcake.
When I left there I met DH at the local diner - our favorite and a very popular place. We were early and we missed the crowd and the lines.
Came home and jumped right in on my projects. I emptied and moved a shelf into the guest room and reloaded the shelf. It is a shelf with all of my party light candles. It smells so pretty! I moved the dresser from the guest room into the "Glam Room" i had to move some bins to put the dresser against the wall. It waws a game of Jenga, moving things piece by piece. But it is slowly coming together. And I got some exercise hefting those bins and boxes around.
Tomorrow I take my mom to visit my dad in the am, go empty the garage at their old house, then meeting friends for dinner, then a football benefit. I washed and hung my good pants to dry. I will need to decide on a nice shirt
I just spent some time reading a book. I think I read it before but I will finish it. Patricia Cornwell "Black Notice". Next up and literally on the pillow next to me is Harlan Coben "Six Years". I am enjoying his book adaptations on Netflix.
Good Night everyone - see you all tomorrow

Hi Everyone ! Diane, good for you, getting all that sweeping done. I know it hurts your back, but I bet you are glad you did it ! bree, You did get a lot done with work work today and other things too ! I did the dailies and laundry. Nested a bunch of boxes together. Some are on the front porch and some are on the back porch. Seemed like a lot , but there were extra deliveries this week and last week. I couldn't put out any recycling out because of the icy weather. Vacuumed all through today and it really needed it because there were cardboard shreds everywhere. You know---from the cat scratch pads ! Made a sort of dreaded business call today and am glad that one is over. I was trying to cancel something that I was being billed for and thought they would give me trouble, but it went well, after all. Tonight I watched an old movie on Netflix. I had seen it when it first came out, years ago and didn't remember any of it. It was "Fried Green Tomatoes." Wishing everyone a good weekend. BTW, it was in the low 70s today ! catcats
