Thanks for starting the thread, lennon. You have a great list there! Let us know about your progress on the list if you have the time and inclination. Cheering for everyone this weekend! I would like to tackle at least one big crisis area today. I have six crisis spaces in my home right now: the master bedroom closet, a cove area in my bedroom, the laundry room closet, the sitting room, guest bedroom, and craft closet. The garage needs some help, too, but for now… anyway…. I would like to tackle one of those projects today. My husband never complains, but I know the crisis spaces are likely driving him nuts because he is a neat freak. Of all these crisis spaces, the cove of the living room is likely the space that is bothering him the most, so I should probably start with that today. I am overwhelmed by it, there is a mound of laundry, baskets and bags of papers, and lots of boxes of miscellaneous. Maybe I could deal with 100 items at a time until I am done? Or I could set a timer? Or I could think of it in quadrants and tackles one quadrant at a time with a break in between? Again, I am so overwhelmed by it. I think I will start my day by doing a quick round of Race to 100 and then revisit the process by which I am going to work on the bedroom cove. I don’t have any plans today, so I can stay in my comfortable pajamas to do the work. Wishing everyone a great weekend!

Good morning!
Thanks for starting the thread, lennon!
TT, did you decide your method for tackling your project? You can use the dice roll program--I like to pick areas that need decluttering and roll the dice to know how many things to put away from each area. Or a timer is good--however minutes one each area or type of clutter--like 5 minutes on paper, 5 minutes on laundry, 5 on miscellaneous. Or see if there's anything that you can pack up and put away (like paper?) so that it immediately makes it neater visually--assuming there's a place to store it until you can get to it. I love things like this, it makes the work so much more interesting to have to think about the timer or dice or whatever method you pick.
I have fed the dog and taken her out, my goals are pretty much the same as they have been the last two days--keep at baseline, consolidate the two plant tables, routine plant care, and doing something for the challenge.
The high is only 30 today but tomorrow gets back up to 43, so just one cold day.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
Diane

Happy Saturday! snowing here like a snowglobe I am having a quiet morning. this is the first day in awhile that I don't have anything "due" today so I have control of my time! I am meeting a friend for lunch, they asked to bring someone along so it changes the dynamic for me from a relaxed chat with a friend to a more social, small talk, "professional" social type event. I am a little disappointed but still glad to go out
Otherwise I am free! Plans for the day: -get ready for lunch -Groceries -oil change and tire rotation if drop in place has time -finance- check and pay bills due this pay period -start on taxes in terms of gathering paperwork for this year's and the fix to last year's . That fix is really a big fat procrastination trigger for me! -walk with puppy later. she is still subdued from daycare. LOVE daycare -clean declutter bedside table -paperwork declutter - I have two bags and two small baskets of papers. go through them and make some progress with recycle, shred, file.
The lunch place is near a home goods type store so I want to stop there and see about getting some small baskets for inside my cupboards to better handle things.
Have a good day all
Have a good day all!

I started on the area. I had the intention of working one quadrant at a time and then got super overwhelmed and stopped. But I am not giv8ng up. Going to drink a nice glass of tea and then get back to it. I did make a small dent in it. I think if I focused it would really only take an hour in reality. I don’t know why my mind tricks me into thinking something will take hours and hours and hours when in reality it won’t take that long at all. I appreciate the other ideas like the dice _ thank you.
Enjoy your lunch, Bree!

Good morning everypony!
Today I got up at 4:00 am cause I was starting to ruminate about all the challenges we are rather suddenly facing. Will probably update my blog, but the gist is: 1) health care provider is not happy about the return of my symptoms. he referred me to an ENT. 2) DVD's mom needs support dealing with DVD's brother, who is exhibiting signs of dementia in the violent direction. 3) DB is not recognizing where he is.
the good news is I called my peeps in GA and got lots of support.
DONE: half-caffeinated made a couple supportive posts on Reddit ate breakfast
updated log checked, deleted, sorted emails checked calendar updated acquisitions list talked to DVD re: replacing door at his mom's
I've got so much on my mind. I know there is more to do than I have time an energy for. so that means making decisions and letting go.
I guess today is a day to reflect on a quote from Gandhi: "I have so much to do today that I need to spend two hours meditating, instead of just one"

You're making progress TT!
Scholar, those are some hard things to deal with, and maybe not a lot of ways to help, as far as your brother and DVD's brother? Yes, those are the kind of things that keep you awake at night.
Next:
Feed dog and see if she wants to go out again Place Walmart order Place Target order See if any plants on DR table can move elsewhere

I put some extra bird seed out because it's so cold today, there were three little birds sitting on my windowsill looking inside, like, where's the seed??
Time to eat lunch.
