ohblondie it will pop up eventually! I am in an email exchange, painstakingly, with the de-railer group...sigh Did some clean up in bathroom, cleaned toilet and tub/shower. feeling so unmotivated and antsy at the same time. I think I need some serious caffeine. I am going to get ready to run some errands. On work at home days I think it is very important to run errands on the standard lunch time, so people don't think you are just off doing them in the middle of the afternoon. errands: go pay important bill to go pet store for food find and drop off Lenten donation for today My second social request is going to happen! tonight. should be fun though I have an urge to hibernate at all times!

bree I must confess and send my apologies. I am part of an office that has gotten pulled into a process and we are trying to derail it - well stop part of it. the other office is trying to create a business flow that will make their work easier. We are 100% behind it and started out supporting it as we understand the need to make it easier. But then they wanted access to our system and to change our process. Our process has to pass several audits (federal and independent) and we cant have people in the system and changing things. They are part of the end of our process and they process, externally, some vouchers from our process. So we are really trying to support them as long as they do their work outside our system - as they have for the past 20 years? So I will make sure I am polite during our next meeting...in honor of you. Day is finally winding down.

ohblondie your confession shows you have good motives. Our derailers are not quite so noble. They want to maintain control at the expense of a good final product. It’s about power for them not for the good of the company and the people involved have a very bad track record of actually getting people fired so yours doesn’t sound so bad like you’re just trying to do the right thing. I went out on lunch and did my errands I returned bottles I paid an important bill in person I went to the post office and mailed several other bills I did a very quick stop at the grocery store and got just a few items I stopped at the pet store and bought dog and cat food I did not do my Lenten challenge because I just didn’t have time to fit it in the lunch hour now I want to be super productive and wrap up this workday for the next couple hours

My thermal blanket was not totally dry when I took it out of the dryer, so I hung it up to finish drying.
It feels so strange without the dog here, I think I was focusing on her even more than I realized, every 10 minutes or so I sort of stop and think...what did I forget to do, is it time for a feeding? The birds are very noisy today, when they make a noise that isn't a chirp (like throwing seed out of their seed cups) I think it's the dog doing something. I keep reaching for the dog gate to put across the stairs when I go up and down.
Next I'm going to go out to clean all the seed hulls out of the seed pool, supposedly it will rain in a little while, and then turn to snow as the temp continues to drop.

Well I followed through with something, actually two things I mailed out a birthday card and I reached out to a minister that visited my mom and shared communion with her. I thanked him for doing that and asked him to visit my dad. We have been chatting through emails and I think he will visit my dad.
It is time to go and I will do so gladly....

I realized I have to decide what time bedtime is. I used to have to be downstairs at 7 in order to prevent the panting episodes, now I don't have to do that. However, I want to continue to go to bed early and get up early, especially with gardening season coming, if I don't go out early to work in the yard, it gets too hot. So maybe I'll start going downstairs at 8 instead of 7 and still plan to do a lot of reading before sleep.
I just got an email from ChemoAngels with a patient assignment for letter and card writing. Kind of a good time to come, it can distract me for a while, I usually choose a bunch of note cards in advance and keep them in a folder so I have them ready.
It's still not raining.

I will do 2 last things tonight, remake the bed, and write my ChemoAngels intro letter so I can mail it tomorrow if I decide to go to the library. If there is ice/slippery snow on the sidewalks I will wait.
Then it will be time for dinner.

Well, it sure felt weird today, to keep thinking I was forgetting to do something, then realizing that it no longer had to be done. I'm basically trying to distract myself and think of other things, which is my usual way of handling grief. Eventually it all sinks in, but it's too much to concentrate on at the beginning. I do feel very, very good that she is no longer uncomfortable or anxious.
I'm eating dinner and maybe will try to do a few more things before going downstairs at 8.
Good night everyone, thank you again for your support over the last few days.
See you tomorrow in the weekend thread.

Bree, glad that your DD seems more at peace. I know that makes you feel good. Diane ---More hugs. You are doing well , keeping up with things.
I did a lot today and I feel it. But I am not sick, after all. Allergies, I think. Laundry, folded and hung up. PUPA in various rooms. Packed 2 tote bags with things to go to DD's home tomorrow. Wrapped DGD's BDay gift. Looked through tax papers again and packed those.
Put suet cake into basket holder and hung it on the back porch. Took out recycling and trash.
Cut 4 - 22" by 22" squares from a king size fuzzy blanket to make cat throws for furniture. It hurt my hands to do it so I put the rest --most--of it away in a bag to do another time. I am hoping these throws will help me to keep fur off of cushions.
Did all the daily things, i.e., made bed, tidied kitchen, emptied small trash cans, did cat pans, etc. Processed the mail.
Had to get the gift bag from the attic for the BDay present.
Talked with my BFF in CT. Texted with a dear friend and a little bit with my DD.
Can't remember anything else.
Wishing everyone a good weekend.
