Good morning!
Thanks for starting off the weekend, lennon!
I fell asleep early last night so woke up early, today's supposed to be 80 degrees so I will try to do some work in the yard this morning before it gets hot.
The printer is working, but the only thing I printed so far was a black and white page. When I did the print test there were spaces in the color section which meant I had to do a print head cleaning, but that didn't help--so that's an issue I will have to figure out. But for now, it's connected and I can print black and white, which is mostly what I print. I think the reason I was so wary of it was that I was considering setting it up as wireless and I know that would have been a problem--but I don't really have another place for the printer anyway so I decided I might as well just use the cable. This printer is supposed to be much more economical on ink which is why I chose it.
I hope everyone has a good weekend!

I've been to the library, and I did a couple of yard sessions, one in the morning right before the sun came up over the tree, and one after the library--it's not only warm, it's horribly humid. No more yard work until there's shade in the yard.
I also talked to my decluttering client for a long time.
Now I'm going to check on all my seedlings and maybe take a reading break.

Not exactly the days I planned over the last couple of days, and it's miserably cold...BUT I'm going to acknowledge that I achieved something. More job applications filled out, and I'm checking the job sites each day to see what's coming up locally. Today and yesterday the main focus once the computer stuff was done for the day has been the bedroom... I figured that i should at least set up the room so that I don't hate myself when I wake up & go to sleep. ➡Most of the ceiling spiders are now homeless, -The thick layer of dust on the shelves is washed away.. -The bedside area is organised -3/4 of the floor is hoovered -random splashes on the wall wiped off -media area in room cleaned up - - I'm pleased that the area beside the window is clear to stand at now, but there is more to do, as i still need to either walk over the bed or commando-role over the mattress to reach the window. ◾So now I'm feeling warmer after a shower, I've sewn up a sleeve on a favourite top while sat in the steamy bathroom, ➡time to warm up dinner and put a DVD on to distract me while I do a bit more... Probably put the never ending laundry away first and sort through the sewing drawer ..

Good afternoon decade and scholar!
Decade, good luck with your job search, if I remember correctly what work you do, isn't there a demand?
I went out to the yard again, it got cloudy so I figured it would be cooler--the sun came in and out for a while but it wasn't too awful. It's very muggy out, though. The good news is that my knee feels back to normal, I was able to kneel to weed with no knee pain. Of course, my back still prevented me from doing more than 15 minutes at a time but the knee made it almost impossible.
There are several carpenter bees zipping around the yard, and one hovering on the upper back porch. I remember moving here and having a carpenter bee hovering there the very first day and thinking--great, I can't even enjoy the back porch! But now, I just say hello to the guardian bee and assure him that I'm not after his nest.

Ok,my brain has frizzled for the night, the sewing drawer is emptied ready to be tackled tomorrow. The half sorted bits n bobs will have to be shoved off the bed , and the dusty sweaty bedsheet yanked off My excuse is that family phone calls sapped my time and energy (making arrangements to help out aging parents😔) Yes Di, there are jobs, though i had some indecision about what I wanted, I really should have been seriously looking weeks ago ,,nosediving self confidence and depression haven't helped the situation...

Decade, yes, I don't envy you the job searching, I hope you find something perfect soon!
I got a very long call from my shopping friend, she fell on Thursday so now her back is hurting really badly again and she's set back in her mobility. She said it was partly her fault that she didn't remember to lock her wheelchair before trying to stand up, but the CNA helping her didn't check it either, so she ended up on the floor.
Now it's almost dinner time, so I will think about that.

I kinda miss the carpenter bees, Diane. They would eat? burrow? the unpainted wood underneath the lower deck rail. And fight the other bees for territory. (I don't miss the wasps, however!)
So I came back with more than I left with. I think I will still count the stuff that left, though! I should list it now while I remember.
~~~
okay I did that. we also went to the big box store to look at appliances and outdoor sunshades. DVD pulled out what we have. It's time to make some shade!
I am pretty much worn out. hope I can rest and regroup.
Scholar, the carpenter bees chew tunnels in the wood to make nests in there, apparently you can see the sawdust around the hole after they do it. And, if people don't fill the holes in, they (or maybe different ones, I don't know) come back and use the same hole next year, instead of having to make a new one--so for the safety of the porch or deck, it's probably better to leave the hole open, unless maybe you fill it all the way in with wood filler. I have no idea how long the tunnel is, but I've seen advice to just cover over the opening, which just means additional tunnels being made over time. I've also heard that if you have some dead trees on the property they also like to use those. My friend in Maryland just had a dying tree cut down in her yard and sent me photos of the tree being cut into chunks for removal, and I thought--I wish I could get one of those big chunks for the yard!
I'm going to get ready for bed a little early today again, I'm reading a good book and want to get back to it.
Good night everyone, see you in the morning!
Good morning! They just moderated the forecast to show today will be cooler than tomorrow, only a high of 70 instead of 80, that's good. I slept pretty well and need to spend time in the yard today, although there are storms forecast for tonight so I'm not sure if I should plant things yet. I would like the first couple of days after planting to be moderate in temperature and rainfall for the newly outdoor plants.
