Hi everyone! I guess I should start with where I am right now. At this moment in time my house is anywhere between a 0 and level 2 depending on the room. A few years ago, when my dh and I were managing an apartment building, for a few months I went up to a low level 3 - no animal fecies but definitely the kitchen was at that level. I'd like to say it was because I was so busy and just didn't have time to do it but that would be a lie - I had plenty of time to read a lot, go on the computer a lot and watch tv a lot. I also spent lots of time doing fun stuff with the kids. So now I'm doing much better than I was but still have a long way to go. I'm tired of doing the the crisis cleaning and would love to be able to just sit back and relax even if I know someone is coming over (especially my MIL) I've been lurking for the last few days and it has really helped me. I'm not too bad now but I know it would be fairly easy to slip back to that level 3 and I just don't want to go there. I think being part of this group could really help me to make sure that doesn't happen. So...I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and for us all to work together to get out of this mess we have gotten into.

Welcome, FullCircle !
Isn't it amazing how there is always something more important to do than clean or sort or desqualor? Somehow, even the most inane things become fascinating when it means putting off a chore I don't really want to do.
It's good to have you here.

Welcome, FullCircle. And good job at getting that mess under control. That fear of slipping back is a scary one. Keep posting, and reading. The skills I learned from this group of friends is invaluable.

welcome to a fellow Canadian- I am glad you came in- and I am glad that you did spend some of the time having fun with your kids that is never wasted time I - in some ways - failed to do that as things were always in a mess so baking cooking seemed life too much to do just to get started - and I knew there would be a mess as a result I have changed my tune but it is one thing I regret- letting squalor take away family fun

Hey, another Canadian! There's a small but sturdy group of us here. Welcome aboard. This is a great place, as I'm sure you'll have figured out by lurking. Once you get your stride, you'll be amazed at what you can get done. ~Mouse
