Hello, everybody! What a wonderful idea! I have been trying to use The Sidetracked Home Executives book but I still seem to be struggling to get my act together. I LOVE IT that here is a community where I can come to get all inspired to try again. I hope to have a lot of fun with this site.

Hi Still,
I loved the very first Sidetracked Home Executives book! I read it some years back, and yes, I'm still trying to get it together too-I do take that book back out and reread it for a lift-I loved their humorous but still practical approach. Welcome, good to have you here!

Welcome, Still !
If they gave grades, I've flunked both SHE books, Flylady and Organizer Lady! So, yes, you get up and start again. And again. And sooner or later something sticks. At least, this place gives me hope that it will.
It's good to have you here!

Is that the Slob Sisters? I watched their videos and listened to their cassettes years ago. Still use a few of their tips I think.
Welcome to the family, Still! Glad you're here!

Woo-hoo! Just discovered two more messages for ME!!!! Way cooooool! cando: you are soooo positive and encouraging! Do you have wings? eatingbonbons: I love your moniker and avitar! I soooooo identify! I LOVE the quote you have at the bottom of your post - the one about God creating you (me/us) to be the way God eases suffering in the world. (I just have to be careful to not beat myself up because I can't save everyone and everything. Happy doing something - anything - except beating ourselves up, everyone!

Oooooo - cool! Two more cat lovers! Hello crazycatlady and autumn! I LOVE my cats, but I must admit that cat hair is one more thing in my "too much to deal with" column. A cup of tea without a cat hair jus isn't going to happen around here - for now. Valor, def6 and messymimi: Thank you SO MUCH for your kind and friendly welcomes to this forum. The people here are so amazing! I am begining to wonder if kindness genes and messy genes are linked - AnnieOkie: Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I am not familiar with the term Slob Sisters. I am infering from a few things I have read that, yes, they are the same - but I don't really know. Anyway, thank you for the warm welcome! Love your moniker and avitar - Annie Oakley is one of my childhood heros. She was quite a woman. Happy un-slobbing everyone!

creativechaos - I almost didn't look at this thread again, figuring it had run its course, but I am so glad I peeked in a found your post! Thank you! I am discovering what you posted about the angels on this site - and it is amazing. So much kindness, gentleness and encouragement. "Sidetracked Home Executives" came out years and years ago, but there are still copies available. You might try your library and if they don't have it, ask them to get it through interlibrary loan - that way you can give it a look-see before buying your own copy if you decide you want one. From the other posts it sounds like the authors of SHE have been busy all these years and they have a lot of stuff out that I have never heard of. That might be fun looking into, also. I am going to look for a website for them - it's on a list of things to do when I get a chance. Anyway, I loved "hearing" from you.
