Sigh. I did manage to get a load of laundry done and gave away four bags of clothes yesterday, as well as a large framed picture a large trash can, and a bag of videos. (Like 25 or so.) However, I have somewhat backslidden in the housework department. Between my depression, grief, and 2 week illness, my apartment is looking worse. The video racks look barely touched, and I was hoping to get rid of at least half of them. I still can't see the top of my dining room table, and the dreaded new stove still sits in my dining room TWO years later! (Nobody to move the old one out and connect it.) There's so much stuff in here that even loading a mini van with donations wouldn't make a dent in it. 3g

I can relate. I was doing some heavy duty reorganizing a couple of weeks ago, but haven't made much progress lately. I've got a large metal bookshelf that I am moving to a new spot - in the meantime, I put it right in the middle of my apt. until I can clear out the new spot for it. Now, even though the bookcase is just in a temporary spot, I've got stuff stacked all on it again...I'm really looking forward to getting that moved and out of the way!
I just thought of something, and it sounds a bit loony. Ever since this bookcase got put in this spot, which is at the foot of my stairs and next to my front door, my energy has just evaporated, and my cleaning efforts have for the most part stalled out. Maybe there is something to that feng shui belief in the "flow of energy" after all...and the bookcase in this obtrusive spot is blocking the flow of energy in my apt.
I know, it sounds loony...but I am going to move that darn bookcase as soon as I get home tonight!
