This post is kind of long! If you just want to skip to the advice part, go to the row of *******s. The rest is just background. Hey everyone! As you may have read in my introduction post, I recently moved into a new apartment with my fiance. Everything had been going well, and I had been keeping the place spic-n-span (so proud!), when the unthinkable happened.
My fiance found a roach in the bedroom. (A HUGE ONE!)
I was absolutely beside myself! I am terrified of roaches (totally irrationally, I'm aware), to the point of inconsolable tears and a total inability to open any closed doors or turn on/off any lights. It was awful. After about an hour, my fiance managed to calm me down by assuring me there was probably just the one that had wandered in looking for food, and no big deal. We were going grocery shopping that day, so I decided to buy boric acid while we were there to ease my mind.
We were putting the groceries away when we got home, and as I opened the cabinet under the sink to put away the cat litter... you guessed it.. another one!
Again, I was beside myself. I cried for much longer than I'm able to admit, and (I am being totally honest about my feelings here, NOT trying to put down anyone still struggling with their messiness. We're all family here
) I was also ANGRY. I felt like -- what's the point of keeping the house spotless if I'm just going to get roaches anyway? I was so bitter and frustrated. My fiance put down the boric acid (I was too scared to do it myself, since we had seen another one) and tried to assure me that there probably weren't more (yeah right!).
The next day, he was at work and I found ANOTHER roach in the bedroom closet. This time, a baby. Oh great, they're BREEDING! I too went to work, and my fiance and I emailed back and forth about the problem. He found a product which solved all of our problems.

READ BELOW FOR ADVICE! SAFE FOR KIDS, PETS, AND YOU!
****************************************Demon WP was the product he found. You can read about it at this website:
www.pest-control-supplies.com/demonwp.htm (That is not where we bought it from. We got it from a pest supply store locally for $10 for a 1 year supply, and if you live in the Hampton Roads, VA area, PM me and I'll let you know where we went.
)
The Demon is... in a word... amazing. It's NONTOXIC (to everything except bugs,
), it kills German cockroaches, American cockroaches, oriental cockroaches, brown banded cockroaches, and smoky brown cockroaches, ants, spiders, scorpions, flies, hornets, wasps, bees, Sowbugs, pillbugs, crickets, silverfish, firebrats, millipedes, centipedes, and sod webworms and more!! It is odorless and does not stain. And most incredibly of all (you're not even going to believe me when you read this), it provides TOTAL knockdown of all cockroaches (this does not hold true for every variety of insect, so if you buy it, please read the label) within 25 minutes. That's even quicker than how long it takes to dry! (1 hour.)
You DO have to buy a pump sprayer to apply it, but the application is quick and easy. It is safe for food areas (like cabinets with food and dishes) AFTER it has dried, so make sure to move those things while spraying. Basically, we sprayed along every baseboard in our apartment, and in every closet and cabinet. If you have a house, rather than an apartment, you should also go outside and spray along the foundation.
So, since using the Demon (1 week ago!), we have seen ONE roach, and it was DEAD. It works as a repellent as well as an insecticide, so the ones it doesn't kill will at least stay the hell away! You're supposed to treat again every 3 months for continued repellent properties, and like I said, we paid $10 for a 4 pack, so the price is absolutely no problem
Please let me know if you have any questions and I'll tell you everything I know about this MIRACLE (in my opinion!) product.
