I almost forgot! I got someone to haul off our old, broken-down truck! I also got someone to come get the old camper top that went on it.
You can get rid of a lot of stuff on Craiglist, if you make it free. A few years back, we even got someone to come pick up a bunch of metal trash of ours; they hauled it to a scrap place for cash.

Broken ornaments that I had and loved as a child. I know they will never be repaired, now, took me a while to come to terms with that.

I love this thread- most of the things I have tossed has gave me joy- sometimes it was harder to give the things away-but lately the one thing that I tossed out was the old water cooler that did not work and really did not even hold much water and just made life harder. and that darn tooth I found that has no takers--

One thing I got rid of wasn't mine, but it felt SO GOOD to make it go away! When ex-hubby and I moved into the trailer, he put an old cd cabinet on the back porch, intending to get rid of it, but never "got around to it". It sat there for at least a year, deteriorating in its place and making our place look even more like a redneck dump. While we were separated and I was living there by myself, I got tired of looking at it. One day, I decided it had to go. I pushed it off the porch with a HEAVE and ended up demolishing it by kicking it and hitting it with a hammer. Destroying that thing was SO therapeutic! I even found myself looking for more stuff to demolish!

This weekend, a set of shelves I don't need, and today a bag of clothes I don't wear and sheets/towels I don't use.
Put both shelves & bag on sidewalk--gone in the blink of an eye!

A broken wooden thing for hanging on a wall. I don't even know what it is but I've still had it sitting on top of a cupboard for years. A large sized, striped garment/travel bag full of videos I will never watch again. Oh lord...

Well done kiz! I have a hard time getting rid of stuff, even broken, rusted stuff sometimes. It is getting a little easier for me though. I just found 2 rusty toasters in the basement which are going OUT!
