This was a really inspirational program! I didn't think I would really watch the whole thing, but I totally got caught up in it.
I don't suppose this sort of therapy works so well in such a short time for everybody, but it was great to see how much it helped these two people. I wanted to stand up & cheer for them by the end :-)

Thanks Boodles for posting this link. I had missed a good deal of the show and was glad to see it all. I know that for me, the loss of a lot of my stuff when I was living in the country felt like a death of sorts. Many things were ruined by water leaks, some were stolen, and some were lost in the move by accident. I felt very much like Judy, maybe even worse. I knew that I had to purge, toss, and donate more than I ever had before, and it was so hard, but I did it. I have done it twice since then, and still have too much, . That's why I am purging again. It gets much less painful in time, but it's never easy. It took me years to be able to do it. 3g

Thank you for the link. I was watching it and I fell asleep! I need to see how they both were helped.

The site works periodically for me. I'd just try it again later or reopen your browser.

I am watching this and seeing many things that I personally react to, including the unrealistic fears and anxieties which are beyond normal. Courage is a central requirement for resolving this type of fear. But if we had courage, would we have developed these conditions to begin with? It feels circular. *************************************
Now that I've watched it all, I wish they had more time to discuss what went on during those therapy sessions. How did the patients make the move from fear to performance? What is the lesson - that if you spend a lot of time with a therapist, it will resolve a lifelong psychological issue? Are these typical cases? Is that all that's required - get a therapist?
