Ok, so there I was...still sorting the mess in my bedroom. O M G is this slooooooooooooooooooow moving, and I'm so tired of looking at it all. I have too much to do elsewhere and NEED to get done with this by the end of the weekend. The rest of the place is still in great shape. The DR table is still spotless. (That's my focal point...yeah, just like in Lamaze class). :-) There is just no room to move in this bedroom. A queen bed and a one-bedroom apartment does not offer much sorting space. And I know for a fact that if I took it to any other room to work on as my staging area, I only have the LR and DR of the apartment (ha...can a small bathroom being a staging area ), and I'll be back to chaos again. So I decided to start to sort things that I wanted to keep/work on and put them in a stack by the bed. And the stack expanded...and expanded..and lengthened. And before I knew it, I had to DIVE over it all to get into my bed to take a nap, and now I can't reach over it to strip the sheets that I wanted to wash and put back on today. Methinks I need to go to Plan B. I need to make some space on one side of the bed, and figure out where to put that stuff for the moment. I wish you could have seen my dive. It was soooooooo not elegant.

"Methinks I need to go to Plan B."
That sounds like a really good thought to keep when facing a mess! Funny!!!!
Will remember that one!! Ha...
Good luck with the sorting and diving.

Thanks, canna. I'm pretty tired at the moment. I spent twelve hours in there yesterday and I'm just now starting to see some progress. It spurs me on...on the other hand, I have a lot of other things I need to get done and they're all urgent, so it's frustrating. I really want this room done. I want to look around me and finally see clean everywhere, not just 80%-where.

I think your Plan B sounds like a good idea. If you clear a small space by the side of the bed, then you can make the small space bigger, and then a little bigger ... a small step at a time.

I made space yesterday, and am going to wash sheets and make the bed this morning. Yay.
Just frustrated and tired. But that's never stopped me before.

I thought I was the only one who had ever had to take a running jump to get onto my bed. *giggle* I'm glad I'm not alone!

It actually rarely happens because when I start sorting/piling, I remember not to do that. This time, I uhh...forgot.

sigh Now my sciatic nerve has acted up and I'm hurting. This week is not going smoothly toward bedroom progress.
