There are a good number of my clothings on hangers. The clothings are clean (not ironed because I am allergic to ironing). There are even some of the clothings of the man. His clothings are on blue plastic hangers mine are on lime green. Very pretty for a very hot day.

Whoohoo!!! Way to go. I love the colored hangers with one color for you and one for him. How organized and clean it sounds. I am allergic to ironing, too. It is epidemic with my friends.

I would imagine that most, if not all, of us are allergic to ironing When I was in the WAC (Women's Army Corps) many years ago, wrinkles were frowned upon. This was before women were allowed to routinely wear fatigues, as they do now. Of course, the materials the uniforms were made of wrinkled very easily and everytime you sat down, you got wrinkles. The solution: constant ironing One did not step out of one's residence with wrinkles. The ironing board was practically a piece of furniture in my small studio apartment. I held onto that ironing board for 35 years after I got out of the service in 1972!!! Without ever ironing one additional item.

From a fellow ironing allergy sufferer, my sympathy.
I'm glad the closet is in such great shape! Yippee!

Ironing Allergies??? Count me in as a serious sufferer, aacckkkk. ______________________________________________________ IguanaMamma! Wooooo Hooooo on your clothing & closet improvements!!! I LOVE the separate hangers for his & hers! My husband has the forest green plastic hangers, & mine are the clear plastic hangers with the metal swivel hook thingies like in department stores. The only difference between my improvement & yours is that mine happened before the squalor, back when I was active in perfectionist mode, & yours happened whilst getting out of the squalor, therefore I think yours count as MAJOR BIG BONUS POINTS, yayyyy!!! Keep up your good works! ______________________________________________________ Hiya Peach How fascinating to know you were a WAC! Great story on the ironing!

I am liking the ironing discussion, especially Peach's. my dad likes ironing so much he irons my clothes when I visit. You can't stop him, he irons your stuff surrepticiously while you are out. he ironed my bicycling spandexey shirt into ruin. he also melted the elastic in my socks. my brother noticed that his iron, that he bought ata garage ( he lives in the UK so its called a "boot" sale there) was made in EAST GERMANY. it seemed dangerous so he bought him a new one. he probably didn't throw away the old one though.
PS
How did the iron end up in ENGLAND? I can just see it: "MUST FLEE TO FREEDOM! Will tunnel under the wall/ jump over and swim the river, and I MUST NOT FORGET MY IRON!"

I bought an iron a while back, still haven't used it yet though. I guess I should do that soon..."getting started is the hardest part", as they say.
Congrats on the closet, iguanamamma! My closets still need a lot of work, wish I could make them bigger!

Still have a ways to go until it is finished but there haven't been ANY clothes on hangers for the past eight months. Progress is slow but at least I can see it now.

I do some times iron but my closets are small--36 inch so I have to iron as I go- I do have a steamer now which I like a lot as long as I do not get carried away which can give one wet clothes--
