I don't know how I have done it, but I have misplaced my purse. It has EVERYTHING I need in it. Here is what I remember, my 2yo had it, so I took it off her and put it in a high place so she didn't empty it. I was about to change the baby's nappy, he was crying too. So I was completely distracted. Three days later I still haven't found it. I have looked everywhere it could be but it isn't showing up. I have a bad feeling that it is hiding in plain sight. So right now I am going to clean the kitchen up first then I will see where I need to go next.

:-( 1. Are you sure you didn't pick it up again from the "high" place and put it somewhere else? Even if you think not, maybe you should look in closets, etc. I know I've moved stuff and then forgotten. 2. Have any other adults been in your house since you misplaced it? (Not suggesting anyone stole it! But could someone else have moved it?) Good to you!

I got this link years ago from the SS site. If nothing else it gives you a step by step plan of action for looking for something lost, which makes you feel less helpless. www.professorsolomon.com/12principles.htmlGood luck!

Gosh bah, I know how frustrating this can be. I have lost so many things right here at home. And usually because I don't put the items in "their spot". What I try to do is close my eyes and picture myself coming in the front door (or for you, wherever you were with it last) and see myself carrying the purse. I see myself walking past the curio cabinet, past the couch, the dog crate. I try to remember the things on these items to sharpen my memory. Do I see the puirse on the curio, the couch, the crate? Did the phone ring? Did I turn on the TV right away? Do I see myself setting the purse there? This will usually work for me but I have to do it alone and in peace and quiet with no distractions. Sure hope you find it!

Sure hope you find it soon. I know the frustration of losing things in my own house. Just Saturday I could not find the keys I was sure were in my purse. I emptied my purse. I could not find them. My daughter brought me the set of my keys I gave her for safe keeping. I spent Saturday with my daughter and my purse. When I got home I put the purse on a kitchen chair and went to the back door to call the cat. When I walked by my purse I saw the lost keys sitting right on top of my purse. ??I had used the purse all day and had not seen the keys. Here they were now on the top of my purse. I live alone with my cat, so there was no one else in my house. My daughter said God had his angels put them there because He knew I would never find them on my own. So I hope the angels put your purse right where you can not miss it.

When something is "hiding in plain sight" it sometimes takes fresh eyes to see it. Do you have someone you could ask to help you look?
I hope you do find it soon.

This is what I did a few weeks ago to find a portable DVD player that I knew was in the living room. Take your most powerful flashlight, and slowing shine it around an entire room. You know what color you are looking for and by using the flashlight, you might find it.
