instead of auto log off? I used to see a time period I would be logged in for but it has disappeared and I stay logged in unless I log out....is that the new thing here? hugs bigtimetroubles

Hi BTT, I noticed that too...it turns out that you can now log yourself out anytime. Under the Stepping out of Squalor graphic at the top of the screen, there's a menu with the following options: Home/Help/Search/Members/Calendar/Profile/ Logout/Chat Click Logout. I usually forget to logout now. I did like the old feature where there was an automatic logout after a specific time period. Little_Ninja

We are looking into it, and as yet have no answer.
Actually 'Logout' was always an option when logged in, just as 'Login' is always an option when not logged in. That is not new.

*clears throat, raises hand* Er, that was me. I was experimenting. I added a code to set the login time option at "Forever". "Forever" is relative. As noted, you could always log out at any time by using the button at the top of the board. Reason: In Internet Explorer, if you choose anything but "Forever" it can cause an odd glitch where ProBoards says you are logged on in the Active Users area of the Info Center at the bottom of the main page, but it defaults to the "please login/register" screen saying you AREN'T logged in whenever you try to post. It has caused problems in the past. Carolinastomper's post is one example of several. Conclusion: I'm going to deactivate the code though. I've tried it for a few days now. Among other things, it slows down the page loading for those on slow connections -- and I don't think it is worth it.
