Does anyone have one of those highly advertised Orek Steam floor cleaners? It says it works on hardwood floors. Does it? It seems to cost about $160 dollars. Does it really do all it says it will or does the cleaning crew cost extra?

I'd love to know if this works as well. I'm currently debating between buying a Hoover floormate, which a neighbor recommended, or a steam mop that I saw at the PX (not an Oreck, a little more reasonably priced.). We have all crappy government tile in our house, so I'm looking for something to cut down on the constant mopping.

While my floormate has since died, I appreciated it very much when my floors were filthy. It cleaned a really dirty floor as easily as a cleaner one--I just had to change the water tanks more often. Any tool that gets me up off the floor is all right in my book!

I am thinking about the Shark steam mop.My counters are so bad that I am thinking about standing on a chair and using the steam mop on counters,as well as the floor. If nobody has reviews you can google the item and get reviews that way
