I'm in favor of making desqualoring easier, since hopefully that means I can do more of it!
Here are some of the things I do that make it easier for me. By "easier," I mean less effortful, less expensive, less uncomfortable, etc.
For example, when I have a flat, non-porus surface that's really dirty (countertop, table, shelf, floor, etc,) I wet a towel, wring it out, and heat it in the microwave until it's almost too hot to touch. I put some dishwashing liquid, plus vinegar/dishwasher soap/borax/enzymes--whatever I think would work best, on the surface, lay the hot, moist towel on the surface, and let it sit until it's cool. The mess will usually wipe right off, without scrubbing.
If I didn't have the strength to wring out a wet towel, I'd lay the towel out dry, then pour the hot water on it.
When I'm dusting, or using my dust mop to pick up pet hair, I spray the duster or mop with a little water, window cleaner, etc--whatever's handy. The moisture makes the dust and hair cling really well.
We live in a 2-story house. I keep cleaning products on both levels, so they're always within easy reach. Gloves and plastic bags, too, since we have so many pets.
I collect cheap storage containers--everything from plastic shoeboxes to the 11-quart plastic totes and laundry baskets. I prefer transparent containers with lids, but cardboard boxes would work, too.
Since clutter is my biggest problem, I leave these containers in nearly every room, so I can put clutter in the container, instead of on my flat surfaces. I can then take the container somewhere else to sort it, hide it if necessary, or throw it out. My favorite containers are kind of small--maybe twice the size of a shoebox--they fit on shelves and in cupboards, and no matter what I put in them, they're never too heavy for me to lift.
I'd love to hear what other members do to "get more bang for their buck" when they desqualor.

I would have to say mine is Flylady's Swish and Swipe method. This keeps the bathroom sparkling clean. You have to start out with a clean bathroom but it makes maintaining easy. www.flylady.net/pages/FLYFaq.asp#swish
