Hi ArtsyGal, Well done staying calm. You can do this. SOS is great, I don't know what I would do without it. CreativeChaos!! Good job on the checkmarks Goodnight Syzygy, you've worked hard and deserve a good rest I just got back from the charity shop! I took two huge bags of stuff, one box, a book shelf, and a stool. My closet is completely empty right now! Though my bed looks like tip! White I was out, I did something crazy... I drove one of the local antique shops.... and bought a dresser! I can't believe did it... I'm not one to do stuff like that. DH is probably going to kill me, but we were just talking about replacing mine (it is very old, ugly, and was free.) All most all our furniture has been given to us. I'm so glad that it was, but as we sort things out, I want to get stuff that we've picked out. The man is bringing to over this evening. I'll take a picture once it comes and I've sorted my drawers out! . I can't believe it. Tadas: Work more on the closet. It's not quite finished, but much better. Two big bags and other things taken to the charity shop! Recycle laundry. Done that's to Dragonchilde in chat! Have something to eat. - Turkey sandwich. mmm. Todos: Work more on closet... mostly putting things back, deciding what to keep, ect. Start on dresser. This was going to be Thursday's job anyway, but need to do it NOW! Pick dd up from camp and take to Grandma's house. I won't be back until this evening. If I don't make it back, y'all have a great evening and good day tomorrow (I work 14 hours on Wednesdays, so won't be checking in.)

After a horrible start, I managed to get a few things done. 1. Went to DMV to replace my missing driver's license. 2. Went to bank to cash a check, and THERE WAS MY DRIVER'S LICENSE! (Spent $20.00 for nothing.) 3. Did one load of wash. I'm losing my mind but at least I did three things, . 3g is me

Afternoon, everybody!
I haven't posted for several days, but the place isn't worse than it was--in fact, it's better, since DH and I crisis-cleaned the living room--and I've had a great time. We celebrated a friend's birthday with her family and friends yesterday, and saw a huge, bright double rainbow in the middle of a POURING rainstorm. The birthday celebrators had dinner and ice cream in a combination antique shop/ice cream parlor (really!), and I found a lovely (and cheap!) mosaic-bordered mirror, which DH bought me for our forty-first anniversary, which is today.
Back in ordinary, day-to-day life:
DONE: -made the bed -fed cats -ate breakfast/lunch and cleaned up after -hung up clean laundry -did a one-in, one-out clothing purge for three new tee shirts -loaded the dishwasher -worked on a quilt top -took morning and afternoon meds
TO DO: -scoop the cat box -hang the mirror -help DH cook a celebratory dinner -finish loading and start the dishwasher after dinner
At least today, it's all good.

Cool! Thanks for the Checkmark heads-up!
And wow, Merrymaid, I can understand how that would be difficult for you to get rid of your DD's "little girl" clothes. But BRAVO to you for doing so! And who knows, if you do have another child, perhaps you'll "inherit" some nice things from your friend's daughter in turn.
Ta-Da's 1) cleaned up for the day 2) picked up the registered mail - whew! just an eBay item the seller sent registered. 3) Whoops, never did have lunch, too close to dinner now, but I did load and start the dishwasher.
To-Do: 1) laundry - ugh, lots of laundry 2) get work clothes together for tomorrow 3) spend 15 minutes on the front entrance. Its still/again buried.
Keep on keepin' on, everyone! -Jane

Hey Artsygal -
recuperating IS a valid activity! Its like the think in the airplanes about put the oxygen mask on yourself first, THEN onto a child or companion. If you're useless to yourself, well, it just doesn't help anyone!

WTG on having the courage to get that registered letter, Jane in Green. Glad it wasn't as bad as you thought. Happy Anniversary, bluefrog! Lots of good work going on here -- 3G taking care of business, syzygy fearlessly vacuuming lots of places today, merrymaid finishing a closet, ArtsyGal back home with her beloved dogs, and much, much more. TADAs: 1. Dentist/friend/errand 2. brought mail in and read/sorted/recycled it 3. forced self to sit right here and write out check for the bills *bonus* went through a bunch of receipts and entered them on the log of expenses I am keeping. Now they can go in the recycling! TODOs: 1. Errand re: storage unit. 2. Pick up stuff from store which is on my route to evening meeting 3. Attend evening meeting *bonus* bring bag dinner rather than buying anything. 'later, all WestsideStory

Hi Y'all, just wanted to say, I posted a picture of my new dresser on the photos board. I'm so happy with it! DH wasn't mad at me Yay! I don't normally do that. It was just over a hundred dollars (I say just, because I know antique stuff can be very expensive, this much is a lot for us, especially without talking it over first.) I think it's in pretty good condition, though I did notice when we moved it that the back is cracked... I'm really proud that we actually moved it in place and I emptied the old one and moved it to the hallway. We're going to take it to the charity shop this weekend (it's in okay condition.) Sorry to go on and on about, I'm just so happy! Good night
