Alrighty, I've got way too much stuff, and I need money... so it's yard sale time! My goal is either this weekend or next. Sooner rather than later is good. I'm making some hard decisions about books... For example, I'm getting rid of my Left Behind series... I enjoyed it, but haven't been as happy with the ending, plus I think someone else can benefit from it. Big to do: Sort through ALL of our clothes. I mean every last stinking stitch. We have TOO MANY. I can't wear most of what I have, and my hiusband and daughters have so many we can't get to them. I have so many nice things for the girls, adn they wind up wearing the same three outfits because I don't know where everything is. Find a place to put Yard Sale stuff. I can't leave it in the rooms; that defeats the purpose. I think I'll clear out the hallway, and stack it there... that way it's easy to get to, but not in the way. I have a desk I'm getting rid of I can use for this purpose. Sort through computer stuff. I have so many pieces. I want to assemble at least one computer, load it with Linux, and have it up and running for sale at the yard sale. Move furniture. This is obviously the last step, but an important one. Sort through toys. There are too many toys. No way they can play with them all, so I'm going to sort through them, sell as many as I can, and donate the rest. Bake some brownies/muffins. Sweet stuff for sale? I have the kits, why not! Get some sodas and a cooler, sell for profit. Yardsaling is hot work, especially down here. Get tables - My neighbor has a lot of yard sales, she'd probably be willing to let me borrow her tables. Alternatively, I can borrow some from my church. Run line for hanging clothes. I learned from some tips to successful yard sales thing that hanging clothes is more effective than piling them up. Also, prop mirror for people who want to try stuff on. There's more, naturally, but I'll add to the list as I think of it.
