Good morning! Rexroth, you're up and at 'em today!! Good going! Eagle, what is your morning wake-up routine? Just curious. I am going easy on myself today, since yesterday I was plagued with fatigue and didn't get as much done as I had hoped. I do have to go in to work for a few hrs this afternoon as well, so smaller goals for the day!
HOWEVER!!!! I do want to set a goal for the month of July, seeing as it's the first of the month. By July 31st, I will have my living room completely desqualored and orderly. I don't necessarily mean PERFECT, but to the point where I can open the door to someone and not be ashamed of the disaster in here. I know it is an acheiveable goal, if I just do a little bit towards it each day.
For today, my living room progress goal will be to finish deciding what to do with the random books (which I started going through yesterday) that are piled on and around the hope chest. Even if they have to be boxed up and put in the back room (worst room in the house) for the time being, I want them out of the living room!! Many will be bagged up to take to the recycling center, but some are ones I will want to keep. Deciding on long-term "homes" for the books I am keeping is a project of its' own, but not for today!
Other aims for today: - Keep up with dishes - Throw out at least 10 pieces of junkmail - Bag up and take out trash - One load of laundry washed, dried and put away

Hey Rexroth! Wow, 80 is VERY HOT for London! (I have only been there a few times, but I have lots of Brit friends). Good for you throwing out the old shirt! I threw out a stretched-out sports bra yesterday and it felt great! Nice that you made a charity contribution as well. I meant to send some $$ to Red Cross after the China earthquake and never did. You've inspired me to set aside a bit from my next paycheck to send off!! What kind of crafts do you do? I enjoy decorating plain porcelain pieces with transfers, decoupage, stencilling and painting. I also do some paper crafts. My craft corner is one area that needs some attention, as a matter of fact. Bought a new 3-drawer plastic bin thingy for supplies the other day, need to make the space for it and put stuff in there! I hope you enjoy your class today! Come back and let us know how it went. I seem to have a bit more energy today than yesterday so far, which is great. Merrymaid has encouraged me to make appnts with docs to check out the fatigue..........which I have done on Working in Threes! I have a good start to the morning and wish I didn't have to stop at noon time to go to work. Oh well, hopefully I can re-gain momentum when I get home this evening. I'm new here, as you know, and am finding this a wonderful help and inspiration! Thanks to everyone for being here! Carrie

Hi Carry, Rexroth & Eagle. Y'all have been doing great!!! And, I am happy to report that I've gotten tons done the past week & today...
My parents were in town & they are soo wonderful. My Mom actually helped me get some stuff done. We also got to have some fun, relaxing times too, like go to dinner in the Stockyard area in Fort Worth & to the rodeo in Mesquite.
(I won't say that it was all great...because you probably already know about the looks of disgust, & verbiage that ensued... I was very ashamed before they came, but knew in advance what I was in for. I know that my Mom loves me & cares and her heart is in the right place. She is trying to understand & truly did work with me... I tried to do whatever she asked as anything done is better than nothing). My house is actually greatly improved, but I still can't invite anyone in (other than my loving parents...).
I can't do any more in my entry area as I cleared out everything except all the stuff that belongs to DH... (who promised me 2 hours per day, but has yet to deliver on that promise... *sigh*) I will only list my tadas of today: *made my bed *took puppy *made return to REI ($55.00 worth of socks-- Can we say, "Special Socks"?!-- 3 pairs of wool socks & 1 pair of liners...) *called re: return to Staples *took box of books to Half Price Books--took 35 minutes to get $7.50 but .....at least they are out of the house & I made myself not buy anything while I was there *returned ski pants & bag of clothing to Girl Scout Leader *took box to post office *shopped for comforter for DD at Linens & Things and at Kohl's...but didn't buy one *made return to Academy Sports *made return to Staples *took 3 bags of stuff to Goodwill *dropped off DH's clothes at cleaners *checked my email *sent email to Boy Scout Leader *called Re: Girl Scout paperwork & check... *folded load of laundry & put it away *moved load into dryer *put another load in the washer
All of the returns & the box of books listed above had been sitting in my entry hall. The Staples return had been sitting there since November!!!
Good night, y'all. CD
